Since the '80s, highlighter hair has been firmly associated with the punk-rock style, but recently the cotton-candy streaks have migrated to the runway. Last year, models at Peter Som's fashion show strutted the catwalk with strategically placed pink highlights, while during last month's Paris fashion week, models at Haider Ackermann sported copper tones streaked through their chignon. And you know a trend has hit it big when it starts popping up in Hollywood! Lauren Conrad, January Jones, and Dakota Fanning have all tried rosy-dipped strands. But Beauties, don't get discouraged—blondes don't get to have all the fun! If you have brunette locks (like Demi Lovato, right), apply a rusty rose glaze to your mane to achieve a subtle wash of color.

I have a "wash-out" hair dye mascara thats purple, and after 2 washes, it fades to look just like this and will stay for a month or so. So much for wash-out, but at least im in on the trend ;)
