Donna, it's like a light sunburn that peels for a bit. Recovery time is minimal. Sometimes, it takes more than one, but you should see significant improvement. Good luck and SPF! :)

I suffer too but living in the uk mine gets lighter in winter because there is no sun. My dr prescribed me a cream - pigmanorm and it's ok but had to pay £45 because couldn't get on NHS. You can try making a paste from sugar and fresh squeezed lemon juice not the squeeze bottle stuff. Rub this on to the affected area every day for a few mins and you should see a difference after a few weeks. Bit messy but worth a go.

Do you use a sunscreen for a and b rays? Over here it has a star rating to block both types of rays
