Okay, so I know the pics are a little weird lol, but it shows my issue best.

My hair is mostly straight (when it's short it's wavy, but it's been pin straight this way for while), yet it is still frizzy! How does this happen? How can I fix it, and how can I hide it until it's fixed? Anyone have any miracle serum or remedy? Please and thanks for your input, ladies, you're always a huge help! :)

For the ones on top, if you lightly mist extra hold hairspray on and then roll the can like a rolling pin, they should stay down.

Could you suggest a serum you know works well, and won't make my hair terribly greasy? I used Garnier Sleek and Shine this morning, and this is what happened. -_-

Also, Emily, I'm not real sure I understand your method. lol, could you elaborate a little, please? :)

Redken extreme anti-snap leave in treatment is AMAZING!! It's light weight and makes me hair really soft, tames frizz and helps prevent damage like split ends and breakage :)

It's a 10. Apply it to wet hair and comb through it.

Oh sure! If you lightly spray your hair with the hair spray, then turn the can sideways and roll it over your hair like a rolling pin, it flattens down the little flyaways. I'm not sure how else to describe it.

Rikki, that sounds great! How do I use it? lol

Hannah Rose, what brand is It's a 10?

And Emily, thank you! Sounds like a life saver :)

You just comb it through your wet/damp hair focusing on especially damaged/frizzy areas. that's it :)

I wonder if these are fairly similar products? although Its a 10 looks like spray and the Redken is more of a serum.

Alright, I'm going to give you some insider info here... You have FINE hair. Fine hair is comprised mostly of Moisture. When fine hair gets too much moisture, It gets stretchy like a rubber band, and breaks off. However fine hair will also get brittle from too much protein, then snap like a twig. Which is what's happening in your case. This is the price we pay for having the hair type that is the most easy to manipulate when it comes to styling. What I tell all my clients is to use a moisturizing shampoo and conditioner, then do a protein treatment once a month. The problem is product packaging is so misleading. There are like 20 words for protein: Strengthening, Re-constructing, Fortifying, Repair... those are all words for protein. Look at your shampoo n conditioner. Do not use that Redken Anti Snap. Its a good product, but not right for your situation, it's protein and will make your hair worse. If you want life to be really simple use Sexy Hairs Healthy Sexy Soy Shampoo and Conditioner. Its perfectly balanced so you won't have to worry about it. I've seen this stuff do miracles on Hair. Unfortunately, the damage you have now will have to grow out. But once you grow it out it'll be gone forever. :)

Try morrocan oil but just a little bit so you don't get oily hair. xx

Jacqlyn, Kacie said it is a good product, just not for ME, and my own hair type. :)

Kacie, it's crazy how that describes my situation! I never thought of my hair as "fine," but you damn near hit the nail on the head. My hair does get stretchy sometimes, and I've had these frizz issues all my life. And, I once did a coconut oil treatment, and my hair fell out like mad and was brittle and gross for MONTHS. I had no idea what was going on! I had heard so much good about that stuff, and it felt like it ruined my hair. I looked it up online, and got the result that my hair rejected the protein for some reason. I guess now I know. :)

Now, quick question: my hair gets used to a shampoo pretty quick, so I have to change it up or it will stop working for me. I bounce between many brands, types, and combinations. Do you have any other brands that work as well as that stuff you recommended for me? That way I can use it forever and get this all fixed up.. :)

I use Tresemme Moisture Rich shamp/cond sometimes, and it ALWAYS makes my hair so soft and shiny. Is this a good brand for me? Do you know any others so I can switch it up?

Also, if I should avoid "repair,"... should I take this back for a refund? lol
