I am completely against the slaughter of animals for clothing, and I'm very glad that this is a rare practice in this day and age, but would you wear a vintage mink coat, or would you say no way? Just a question! :)

Yes I would love to with a cigar in one hand and a wine glass in the other telling the butler to fetch me another bottle >:D.

Yeah I would, honestly, It's a personl choice. As long as it's done in a humane way, I don't feel guilty. I find it extremely funny that the same people who say "no fur" also wear leather shoes/belts/clothing or down coats. Almost every pair of decent shoes have leather in them. And anyone who's had to endure a harsh winter knows without a good coat, you'll be miserable. I think fur is fine, as long as you research it's source, and don't support inhumane ways of obtaining it.

That's a really good point, Maggie, I didn't think about that.

Yeah, due to ads and stuff like that, I feel like people are very "fur wearing" concious, but not 100% animal product concious. Again, it's all about personal decisions.

I wouldn't. I don't believe I own real leather either 😂

I personally wouldn't, not for a moral reason I simply don't like the look haha.

Owning a fur coat is a dream of mine tbh and I don't mind faux but real ones have a better feel. As long as it's not an endangered animal or being bought from a bad company then I'm fine.

I probably wouldn't but as weird as it sounds I dream of having a winter wedding and wearing a long red lined soft brown mink coat on top of the dress lol I would feel guilty wearing it and I'm not a big anti animal cruelty person even though Every single pair of shoes with the exception of my nike shoes are leather even my sandals... Totally random but They are better quality And won't make your feet stink.

No. cuz how the animals suffer. I love how leather chucks look, but I don't buy or wear animal skin, among other things.

Nay. I just don't like the feel of fur. it just feels oily and slippery kinda...can't explain it properly.
It feels like a cat. And my hands just feel weird after touching fur, I need to wash them right away. Does anyone get this?

No, pretty much because I'm not a huge fan of how they look but I don't mind real fur as long as it's legal

My Grandad and Granny had a lot of real animal things from when it was ok (mink scarf, coats, ivory elephant statue, seal toy made of real seal fur, etc.etc) and I have no problem with that (I love my seal toy and I really want the mink scarf if I can steal it from my mother haha). I wouldn't wear/ own anything that was made recently or after the legislation though.

See I'm very against animal cruelty but more against animal suffering. I don't own any genuine leather or fur except one. But my moms old boyfriend was a hunter and his buddy's farm had tons of deer roaming on it, one day he sprayed his grass with weed repellant and as much as he tried to keep the deer away they kept on jumping the fence and coming to eat his grass. They got really sick and he called the city vet, and they said there's nothing they could do but let them slowly die on their own, unless he was willing to pay 2000$ per deer treatment. So they went out and put down the ones that were sick. They threw out the meat since it was bad but they got the fur removed and turned them into cuff bracelets for me and my mom and they got a hat lined with the fur. As much as I hated that they had hunted the deer, they were doing them a favor by putting them out of their misery. And I don't wear it, but I still have it. I'm kinda with caitriona, if it was an old piece of fur that happened 40 years ago or it was to end an animals suffering and I thought it was cute then I wouldn't let it go to waste. But I usually don't think fur looks very cute. And like breeze it feels weird.

I'm a hunter and I have skinned animals before, so I don't have a problem with it. I have some nice rabbit pelts that I haven't decided what to do with yet; might turn them into a stole.

I'm not usually a fan of vintage fur just because of the smell. Oils and other funk tend to build up and they get yucky. Having fur properly cleaned is expensive! If the coat/item was still in good shape though, it is a worthy investment. Fur is timeless.

I have this little guy that my mum got me for my 18th from a vintage store. I absolutely love him but I can't wear him anywhere cause I just get so much flack for it, so he's kinda just a home fox. :c.
