Ok so my husband and I finally decided to take my little girl to Disneyland this October and I'm stoked! My problem is I haven't been there in about 10 years and I don't remember what the weather was like around that time of year in California.
I bought these practical walking sandles (merrels for $40!) and would appreciate some advice on some practical clothing to bring

I went in December a few years ago. To Palm Springs and Disney and universal studios. Depending on how hot your used to, I live in Canada where it's only as hot as California in the summer, and my whole family wore jeans and tshirts most of the time it wasn't that hot. It was nice and warm but not hot. We brought shorts but I think we only wore them once the 10 days we were in California. I'd go easy on the accessories too. I wear a necklace all the time that my dad gave me and it was so annoying on rides. My cousin loves bracelets and necklaces and it wasn't a fun time for her getting hit in the face lol she ended up taking them off.
And as ugly as they are, the best thing to bring is a fanny pack. They are so useful. You can put your most needed items in their and not have a sore shoulder from carrying a bag. And bring ziplock bags for water rides you can slip electronics in it so they are safe. :)
These are all I can think of right now lol.

Ditto Alyx. Minimal jewelry, easy hair, and we always take a backpack and fill it with snacks, extra water (because the fountain water is GROSS), sunscreen, deodorant and extra layers of clothes.

October is usually one of the hottest months in California, actually. Shorts or capris, tennis shoes and a teeshirt. Bring a jacket for evening when it gets much cooler.

Be advised that they won't allow you to bring in any food or drink from outside. They confiscate it all at the gate when they search your bags (unless you are diabetic/hypoglycemic).

Its going to be hot, hot, hot, most likely! Wear something fresh. Something that will keep you cool. And a good sweatshirt. If your little girl still uses a stroller then that stroller will be very handy! My family always brings one even though we don't have a toddler. This is because you can hang all your jackets, shopping bags, and food on it. So It gets rid of the "uggh I'm tired of dragging big souvenirs and I can't ride with this turkey leg" although you could also fix the food problem with one of those cute little backpacks!
