So lately my skin has been getting some bad dry patches that just won't go away. I have been thinking about buying the Ceramidin starter set by Dr. Jart and was wondering if any of you have tried either or both of the products and if they worked for you.
Also if you have any other recommendations for products from drugstore or high end I would really appreciate it!
I've tried everything from Glamglow thirsty mud to Tarte maracuja oil and it's been so cold outside nothing has worked yet.

I've tried to spot treat them with jojoba at night and it does help a little. I've never used it during the day though. Do you know if jojoba wears well under makeup through out the day? I have a few spots that seem to keep peeling over and over again with no success on turning it back into "normal skin". Thank you Jacqlyn, you and the other Traci are the skin care masters on here!

Dr jart is a good line, but for bad dry skin i recommend First Aid Beauty Ultra Repair Cream it's great for stubborn dry patches , and jojoba oil is good as well as Jaclyn suggested, you can use them together at night if your super dry,and you can also try a hydrating cleanser like cerave hydrating cleanser in the daytime, and be sure to exfoliate regularly

I have to caution, I had a brutal burning sensation from the First Aid Beauty product. It contains eucalyptus oil, which for some, can cause irritation. I'd ask for a sample before purchase if you have ultra sensitive skin.

Aquaphor is a better fit for me personally.

Lovvvve aquaphor. I can only use it at night because it is so thick, but man it gets the job done.

Is the dryness just from cold dry air, or could it be caused by something else? A face wash, spot treatment, or even hair product?

I didn't even think about asking for a sample first when I was at the store earlier! Guess I'm going to have to test it out on my wrist before I apply it to my face, thanks for the heads up Rozberry!
Emily the dryness is definitely from the weather. I have been outside a lot lately and it's been super windy and in the 30's and 40's. I never thought to try aqauphor on my face before, if the first aid beauty doesn't work I will have to give the aquaphor a try.

I tested it on my inner forearm fold and it was fine, but my face is just much more sensitive to that ingredient. Hopefully, you'll be fine. I just wanted to make sure you knew to test patch since your skin already has some dry patches that may be easily irritated. Good luck! Love Jojoba as well. *hugs my bottle*
