Try not painting them for a week, or try a strengthening nail polish/ nail polish remover. My nails used to peel horribly, but after I stopped painting them so often, they improved greatly. Just try either going with no nail polish or leave on a nail polish that'll stay on for a while. The chemicals make your nails weaker.

I use a cuticle oil at least 3x a week. I also always use a nail strengthener. I like Sally Hansens hard as nails.

It could be an iron deficiency. That totally destroyed my nails.

Sickness is a huge contributor to lack of nail health. Ever since I got sick, my nails are thin, cracked, bumpy & falling apart.
I rarely put on nail polish/false nails and when I do, they get worse. I actually moisturise my nails for a week and then apply hardening polish for another week after that

I agree with Megan. I have a (quite common) condition called Iron Deficiency Anaemia, which means you have less iron in your body than most. It can be caused by heavy periods, so if you have those too, I'd go and be checked by the doctor. I take Iron supplements once a day and they do help, you can buy them from any chemists so I'd go to the doctor and have a check. This is a link to the NHS page on Iron Deficiency Anaemia http://www.nhs.uk/conditions/Anaemia-iron-deficiency-/Pages/Introduction.aspx

When my nails get thin I put a nail gel on them once every week and try not to paint your nails so often. Maybe once a week.

Yeah give your nails a rest from nail polish and use a a nail/cuticle oil everyday on your nails.
