Start on the top of your head and push it down and then brush underneath it:)

I always put them on my forehead like this lol

They're usually stretchy so you can really fit it on to your head to the spot you want.
It shouldn't go bunching up if you don't have your hair back combed too much

Hair pins if you pin it at the back and some sections at the sides it should stay in place :)

I know what you mean by mushroom hair haha I have more silky hair so the top layer always slides up
