I wouldn't buy it personally, because you don't know if it's fake or real like if it was from someone that I didn't know well. Also, products that go near the eyes shouldn't even be shared because eyes carry a lot of bacteria. But maybe find someone in your family who knows you well and knows you're a really clean person to buy it off of you, I know me and my sister have traded various items.

I wouldn't buy it unless it was from a friend or family member.

I wouldn't have a problem with it. I'd rather buy it new obviously if I could

Personally, I'd never buy used makeup. the only scenario I could imagine me.doing so is if it was a close.friend.or relative who.had only tried.the product and.it was something I REALLY wanted

I have bought gently used makeup before from a blog sale after checking references and such. They were all items that are easily sanitized and I whizzed them myself thoroughly before I used them. Never had an issue.

Then again, I got herpes as a child from dirty makeup that a friend's relative face us to play dress-up with, so there is definitely risk if you aren't careful. Sanitized properly though, there's nothing really to worry about.

I wouldn't buy if if not new and I wouldn't pay 30 dollars for a barely used naked pallet either.

Unless I knew the person and their habits, honestly no.

Sandra C. I think that's a very valid question. I belong to four different make up groups. They sell new and used make up. We all have learned how to disinfect and I do it if I buy so then it's getting done twice. I've never had a problem. A lot of ppl are MUA and have items that are swatched and hardly used. They also use brushes so it's just like the so called professionals at the make up counters- which by the way can forget to sanitize. They're only human. But to answer your question I buy items all the time from these groups. New and gently used and the prices are amazing. Oh and you can find LE AND hard to find items!!

I wouldn't but a used lip or eye item however, I have purchased a powder blush. Everything else has been new.
I have also passed on makeup that I either didn't like or barely used to others and I am comfortable with the knowledge I ain't passing anything onto them

Hmm good question. Because tbh I stick my fingers in the eyeshadows at sephora etc.all the time to swatch. (I'm sorry y'all. I'm a bad girl. I'm a tactile person, I like to get up in there and I get so excited and keep going until I run out of fingers.) I'm trying to be good and grab the eyeshadow swabbers now. So, I would say in all honesty if you bought a palette, sprayed it with alcohol, scraped the top layer with an exacto and then sprayed with alcohol again you would be in the clear.
You're in more danger from using a public restroom and rubbing your face or something like that, probably.

I bought a lightly used palette from Urban Decay that was limited edition. Came to me in PERFECT quality already sanitized but I went ahead and re- sanitized myself lol. The lady also put in a bunch of NEW, completely unused drugstore makeup in the box, so I was extra happy :) I think certain products can be sanitized much easier than others (powder eyeshadow is probably easier than a tube of liquid concealer) so just be careful what you're buying & always remember stuff has expiration dates. :)
Also at Sephora / MAC the brushes and products they put on you are NOTTT always sanitized! They should be, but they're not. I've gone into Sephora and seen artists apply product onto girls lips straight from the tester (wtf?!) and then watched other customers go in and swatch on their own faces without anyone touching that shit with a hint of alcohol. Not saying allll Sephoras are like that, but when you're there seriously watch out lol, swatch on your hand instead of your face! That's basically the same as buying used makeup, imo. Probably like 1,000 people have touched the blush sitting in Sephora, at least with the makeup you buy lightly used it's (hopefully) only been touched by 1 other person, lol! To each their own of course :)

I do it. I'm on like 4-5 Facebook makeup sale/swap sites. I can let you know the Names if you're interested. I just sanitize with alcohol. No problems yet!!

Thanks Greyson for talking about Glambot! I am going to try to sell them some of my unloved and under loved products!
