How do you get your eye lashes longer. Any diy things?

Vaseline actually doesn't clog the pores. But I can't prove it doesn't clog the tear ducts. It definitely helps with my lashes though.

Try curling them first, also I know a lot of people will disagree but instead of just doing your lashes starting at the base and going upwards, try to do a coat like that then run the mascara wand from the top from the middle of the lashes to the tip of them. And do a regular coat like you would usually do to finish it off.

You could also do two different mascaras a volumizing one then a Lengthening one Which Is what I usually do wiTh mine:)

Hope I made sense

I agree with andrea, 1st and 2nd coat go from base to tip of lashes, and 3rd coat go from the middle of lashes to tip

Vaseline itself doesn't clog pores, but yet it does seal in all the gunk and bacteria lingering on your skin/tear ducts, which will cause clogged pores

Castor oil promotes hair growth.

No oil, petroleum product, or over the counter product will do anything at all for lash growth. This isn't an opinion or an anecdote, it is proven scientific fact.

Castor oil is extremely heavy; it is too dense to be used on the delicate skin around the eyes. Like Vaseline, it traps bacteria against the lash and can lead to blocked pores, infected follicles, sties, and milia. It serves no purpose and has no benefit.

Lashes do not need to be conditioned like the hair on your head. The growth cycle is so short, that there is very little time for any kind of conditioning effect to take place. Lashes fall out every 1-2 weeks and are replaced by new ones.

If you want longer lashes, you can get a prescription for Latisse (which is expensive; it is not covered by insurance because it is prescribed for cosmetic reasons only unless you have glaucoma), you can invest in some eyelash extensions (which come with their own risks), you can wear false eyelashes, or you can combine mascaras until you get the look you desire.

Here are my steps that work for me: curl the lashes starting at the root , then curl mid shaft, and then towards the ends. Then use your fav mascara. I use colossal from maybelline with the same technic. Root to ends. But I also use the very tip of the mascara spoolie for the tips of my lashes to make them appear fuller. Hope this helped 😊

I curl at the base and then in the middle and then layer the falsies by maybelline flared waterproof mascara and MUFE smoky extravagant mascara! And the MUFE has a neat long tip on the end to get the out corners of the eyelashes well for a flirtier look.
