Sorry if this is in the wrong category but I heard that if you put petroleum jelly on your eyelashes it will make them longer I looked it up and I got mixed feed back so I was wondering your opinion.

No. It won't. All it will do is seal in all the bacteria and gunk on your lash line which can lead to infection

No!! Don't do it! I was told the same thing and I tried it and got an eye infection.

Rosehip, Coconut or Jojaba Oil will soften your lashes...minus the eye infections...lol

I also got told to use it for an eye makeup remover. It works, yeah, but I got it on my contacts and ruined them and they became too sticky to get out and I literally had to tear them off my eyeball. Wasn't a good day

I've tried it before & my lashes never grew. I never got an infection though.. I guess it might've been luck!

The vaseline building up on the lashes is usually why so many think it does work... If you apply some to one eye and compare it to the other you will definitely see why it's believable. Essentially it's the same as putting on mascara except it's not very safe at all.

I tried it out and put it on my lashes for a few weeks, but they did not grow at all and they started falling out too. I would not recommend it!

No. Petroleum jelly will condition your eyelashes very well and make your mascara look nice. But it will not make them grow longer. You will get product buildup on the tips of your eyelashes which will make them look longer they will not actually grow.

And I also heard that if you get petroleum jelly in your eye he can build up under your actual eyelid. Ew.
