Eyebrows

I have a very bad history with my eyebrows.
I'm not allowed to get them done except trim the top part. I don't really mind it besides the middle parts that are like the ends to your brows so that you don't have a unibrow (hard to explain here). The hairs always stick up and even if I cut it, they still look weird and sparse.

Should I fill them in?
What color should I use if my hair is dark brown? Should I use the same color or a bit lighter?
I've never done this before, but I have tons of brown shadows and a paint brush that is too big for my nail polish (I bought it for nail polish but I never used it for that purpose). So should I use that to fill in my eyebrows? I don't know what to do so I decided to ask the beautylish community since you all are extremely nice.
Thank you so much. <3

I tried to fill in the inner corner of my brows, but this is how they turned out.. I'm not sure if they're good..

Excuse my weird eye and rugged looks in this one, but this is how my eyebrows look from afar.
{Last picture by the way}

So do my eyebrows look weird or anything?
Sorry, they've just made me really self-conscious for the past few years.
My mom doesn't allow me to do anything to my eyebrows besides trim the top corner because of religious reasons-not because I'm too young or anything like that (I'm 15, turning 16).

I think your eyebrows look great filled in and that you did a fantastic job! Eyebrows can be a tricky thing because they frame your face so getting them right is important. You filled them in just enough so they flow beautifully! Don't be self conscious girl, rock those eyebrows! You're beautiful!

I love the way they look filled in. Great set of brows! I totally agree with Ayla!

I agree with Ayla and Binks. Your eyebrows look great! Very full and gorgeous! Love them!

Ayla: Thanks so much! Your comment, similar to the others, made me feel a bit better about my eyebrows. :) I always hated them because of the fact that they framed my face badly. Thanks sooo much <3
Bink: Thanks so much! Your comment makes me feel better. :))
Latia: Thanks! :D It makes me really happy to hear that you think so.

AS TO ALL OF YOU: I'm sorry if I seem like im fishing for compliments - I really do have a reason to why I asked this question because of my consciousness of my brows. I'm really happy to hear that people don't think of them as gross and disgusting with my eyebrows filled on - really, it's helping my confidence a lot. As for filling them in, when I asked my mom how they looked she said I looked weird like that. Is it cause she's just not used to it or do I really look weird with them? D; Now I'm giving second thoughts if I should fill them in or not. :(

She probably has to get used to them. Just like my mom had a get used to my eyebrows (I wear them bold like my profile picture). You look perfectly fine with your eyebrows filled in. It's okay, girl! Be happy! Your eyebrows look fine =)

I would say that you should choose a dark shade to fill in your brows but not too dark.. you have the same color brows as me believe it or not... you can check out any of my tutorials on my YT channel (link should be below my post) for more help but this is what I can come up with immediately:

There is a great Wet n Wild eye brow kit.. it comes with a light brown shade and a deep brown shade. Use the deep brown shade to line the bottom of your brows, and then fill in with the lighter shade. If you are self-conscious about the sparse hairs around your eyebrows and you don't want to/aren't allowed to pluck them... you can always use concealer to cover them up a tad bit to create more of a polished and smooth brow. Hope this helps! Good luck gorgeous!

I agree with dawn! If you are self conscious about the sparse hairs and you can't get rid of them, use a concealer to cover them up. go buy a concealer brush and a cream concealer, and run the brush along the bottom of your brows, covering the sparse hairs. I do this all the time when I don't have the time to clean up my brows, and it looks like they were just waxed or plucked.

Best part is, you never got rid of the hairs, you just covered them!

you're sort of lucky your mom doesn't let you touch em! I over plucked mine 2 years ago and it took forever to grow them back.. recently they've thinned out again- not my doing.. I have no idea what to do about it! lol. your eyebrows are beautiful, I love full brows.

I agree! When I was your age (that makes me sound terribly old, haha!), I completely over plucked my brows and had to wait so long for them to grow in--and there are still those little spots that just don't grow back the same way.

I think full brows never go out of style and you have absolutely amazing brows, so don't feel self-conscious! Also, I don't think your brows really need to be filled in very much (which I'm totally jealous of!), so you could probably do a clear or slightly tinted brow gel and be set--the Anastasia ones are very nice. :)

Your brows are beautiful! People would kill for brows like yours!

Your welcome love, no I don't think they look bad at all filled in. Does your mom use makeup? Does she fill in her brows? If she doesn't then I would understand WHY she thinks they "look weird" but otherwise I LOVE THEM!

i think you're brows look awesome!
i'm a little, jealous, actually.
i used to have fuller brows but when i was younger i went on a plucking spree..
now they take forever to grow back and grow sparse and uneven lol
so i have no choice but to fill them in.

one product i really like its an eyebrow kit by QUO.
it comes with the pressed powder and a little slanted brush, and also a clear gel to use over top to keep the hairs in place if needed.
i love it 'cause you can use a little or a lot to your liking. :)

To everyone: I totally forgot about this thread because I'm really bad with technology... forgive me please! But thanks sosososososo much for all your comments. You people are really making me feel better about my brows. I've had friends say that I should go get them done because they're messy but I never could. :( Thanks for being such kind people and honestly telling me your opinion. :)

All in all, you girls really gave me a little self esteem boost. And thanks for such great suggestions. I'll definitely look into the kits you suggest, techniques, and other products! Thank you so much!

Latia: Ohh that might be the reason why. Thanks so much! :))

Sojourner: Gosh, thanks for the suggestions and tips. :)

Dawn: I'll definitely look into your Youtube and subscribe as well! I might look into the Wet n' Wild kit... it seems inexpensive and pretty good when it comes to brows. Do you mean use the dark color just to line the bottom? Thanks for the wonderful tips!

Maria: I think I might just do that! I haven't been using concealer lately, but I'll definitely do this!

Sierra: I just wish I could clean em up a bit, you know? And I'm sorry that they randomly thinned out :(. To be honest, I find ladies with thin brows still very pretty. I feel like the thickness of the eyebrow itself shouldn't be too much of a concern. :)) You look beautiful in your pictures!

Jenny: Woah, I can't believe you'd actually want brows like mine haha thanks for the item suggestions and tips! <3

Viola: Ahh thank you! I didn't really think my brows were that great lol. :3

Binks: My mom barely knows a thing about makeup! I find myself correcting her all the time or getting really irritated when she uses those felt eyeshadow brushes you get in kits that suck haha. Thank you so much!

Andrea: :') Thank you. All of you are boosting my confidence really I love you all. :)

Robyn: Aw thanks soo much! Well I totally understand because I think I read a beautylish article that back in the days thin brows were VERY popular. I don't think thin brows are bad either- I'd rather have them like that - thin and neat! I'll look into the kit. Thank you!

Kate: Thank you so much. <3 <3
