I've been using Seche Base Ridge Filler Base Coat.. it's nice (and actually quite pretty and pearly) and it creates a smooth base, but I feel it might be the cause of premature chipping.
Anyone have any reviews/suggestions for base coat that helps prevent chipping?

Haven't seen it anywhere in person. I used to get it from my manicurist. However, they do sell it at Amazon.com if it makes it easier :/ Would love to hear if anyone else got it at a brick & mortar store?

Can't say I love Seche Vite's base coat.. It's so drying to the nail! Once in a manicure the lady used it on my toes, when I went back about 3 weeks later, my nails were so dehydrated and dry, they were white! As for the top coat, nothing dries faster.

I'm dying to try Zoya's colour lock system. I love their formula, but I've never seen the system sold in stores--they have a mini-package for holiday, so I might just have to get an online order together. I hear it's wonderful.

Nail Magic Base Coat Therapy... I saw a coupon in one of sally's weekly ad (buy NM Fast Dry Top Coat get BC for free) and decided to try it out... great product! my manicure lasted longer than with any other bc/tc i've ever used (from highend to low)... Nail Magic Fast Dry TC is especially better (imo) due to the fact it does not thicken after a few uses such as brands like Seche Vite or Out the Door, and it really dries fast (wow!). Worth giving a try...

CND Sticky Base Coat! I love using CND for my base and top coat and it works amazing for me. The base coat is the only one that doesn't keep my nail polish from peeling off. :) I only like the Seche Vite top coat, the base coat doesn't really work for me.
