I'm curious to what beauty resolutions you all have made this year! Mine is to try to use more natural skincare and beauty products!

Mines would be to explore more with eye shadows. I always just wear eyeliner and mascara. Gotta have to try and get out of my comfort zone for once :)

Mine is to take better care of my skin. I'll be 37 in a few months and noticed how dramatically different my skin has changed in the last six months or so. More moisturizer, more eye creams and less facial scrubs.

Take better care of my skin & stay hydrated!

I really want to get some new brushes and a new, better skin routine. I'd also like to start doing makeup videos.

Gotta agree with you, Andrea F. definitely need more brushes and to start doing makeup tutorials!
Seems like skin care is emerging as the number one goal for 2011!

These are great responses, beauties!

My resolution is to keep my makeup and skincare routine as simple/minimal, effective, and natural as possible. I also want to streamline my collection so I don't have a lot of unused product.

I also want to experiment more with avante-garde looks in my (non-existent) spare time! :)

Mine is to get back into making videos. I haven't made one since.... June 10!! I will, soon!! HAHA =X

Well one of my 2011 resolutions was to go vegan, so it kind of goes along with it that I will only be purchasing vegan cosmetics and skincare products.

So far it's been really enlightening to read up on ingredients and brands that do/don't use them--I have mega respect for brands like Urban Decay and ELF now! Something tells me I'm also going to save a ton of money this way--it means a lot more research before I buy a product, and less impulse buys when a new MAC collection debuts. :p

Mine would be to use more of my makeup. Being that I work at a male dominated enviroment, in a warehouse I tend to get dirty. Glaming up isn't an option during the weekdays. I want to use a bit of something but not go over the top when going to work.

Also, buy less and use more of what I already have.

Definitely take better care of my skin.

Ditto to Misty with the skin. I want to explore lip colors. My co-workers would get pissed off when I would have my whole face done minus my lips lol

Hmm... to wash my makeup brushed more often, throw my mascara out every 3 months, and experiment with more eyeshadow colors! :)

xoxo,
Bethany

i've got a few! but the most important ones are to sleep better (i.e. not at 2/3 am), eat healthier, drink more water, & stick to natural skincare (i've been using natural products for 6 months or so and it's done wonders for my skin!).

the rest are a bit more frivolous and you can find them here if you're interested: http://callitbeauty.blogspot.com/2011/01/call-it-beautys-new-years-beauty.html

good luck on your resolutions, lovelies!

Stop forgetting to fill in my brows, drink more water, experiment with more eyeshadow colors!

My beauty resolution is to figure out a way to work with a monolid on one eye and a crease on the other!
Also to get more beauty sleep (agreeing with @callitbeauty)
And also to stop plucking my brows (:

One of mine is the same as yours Christina! I'm going to be trying to introduce natural skin products and make-up brands into my routine more. I have problem skin and I've actually found using natural products really helped control my oily t-zone and not cause breakouts.

I also am going to be trying to use stuff up before I buy more. Even if it means throwing stuff out or selling it on Ebay - I need to get rid of stuff that I won't use again or use it up before I go out and buy more.

I'm also going to be concentrating more on my skin. I am also considering moving to tinted moisturisers for a lot of the time. Like I said, I have problem skin but I don't get dark circles and concealer makes active breakouts look worse so I like a natural look that simply evens out my skin tones.

I need to drink more water definitely! I'm good at it in the Summer but when Winter hits, I forget!

I also need to clean my brushes more. I'm dreadful at forgetting to do them. I'm great at remembering to do the foundation brushes since I know for a fact I'll break out but guh, keep forgetting.

I also have to agree with Crystina D. - I never do my lips and it annoys some of my friends. I also never put on eye liner unless the occasion really screams for it (big night out!).

Generally I just need to get out of the vicious cycle of not using products because I don't buy them, but not buying them because I don't use them..

I'm also stopping plucking my eyebrow as much - going for a fuller brow this year.

(God. I do know how to talk xD)

Mine would be to drink more water, wash my makeup brushes more often, experiment more with colors, keep my brows clean and filled in, wear lip color more often, remove my makeup EVERY night, wear spf to protect my skin, and moisturize!
