my boyfriend actually loves when i don't wear makeup lol. but he likes when i do really natural looks. if i have crazy makeup on, he doesn't really like it. but he'll compliment it still, like he'll say it looks really cool and like a pro did it. lol he's really great about it though! my boyfriend notices everything, new clothes, new jewelry. haha i love it! and i know what you mean about wearing what he likes. when my boyfriend and i first started dating, and i knew his favorite color was teal and green, i would wear greens/teals/blues for my eye shadow on our date nights.:)

My BF loves diamond/glitter lipglosses & purple dark smokey looks. Actually, just smokey looks in general. I JUST found out he doesn't like pink blush, but like when I have "that brown stuff on" bc it looks "natural" (aka - my bronzer/countouring shades) lol

My boyfriend pretty much loves everything I wear lol :) however, I typically go for a very natural look with my makeup so he really notices & loves it when I go darker w/my makeup - especially eye makeup! He looooves the look of lots of eyeliner and dark eye makeup. unfortunately for him, I do not like to rock that look often b/c it's not really me, if you know what I mean. but its definitely fun to go darker and bolder w/my makeup if we are going out downtown or on a date.

He usually likes smokey eyes w/ a neutral lip. He's not such a fan of bright bold lips... he's colorblind, so I try not to confuse him too much with anything too crazy. [So boring!] - but he's my guy... even though he's kinda' broken. =P

My fiance seems to really think my makeup is cool if it matches my outfit in someway like if im wearing green and then i have green on my eyes somewhere he thinks it is cool and awesome looking. My bf is not a particularly huge fan of highly pigmented lip colors, not because of the way they look, but because he does not want it on him. Other than that he sees makeup like I do. He thinks that there is a time and place for everything. He likes crazy looks when I have an outfit that needs it, or I am getting dressed up for something, but loves me without it too.

My boyfriends and male friends have mostly been very clear that they don't like makeup at all, so I usually wear nude looking looks. I have a theory that a lot of men think makeup is fake, so they like it when a woman is showing her "true face." But my boyfriend last year was really into crazy and artsy looks, so I could have fun and he appreciated it. :)

I wear neutral colors mostly everyday, which he likes but when I go out of the box and wear other darker colors he'll complement it because he likes the switch up. He doesn't know much about makeup, but if I always know if a moisturizer is working well for me because he'll comment on how soft my arm or something feels. And if I switch face makeup and it looks good he'll say something like "your face looks different" haha

This is what I think... I think guys *in general* like us for who we are and appreciate our features as they are, but I also think that secretly--deep down--they get a kick when they see us dolled up with some really fantastic looking makeup... ;-)

my boyfriend loves the natural look, just minimal makeup. nothing crazy or overbearing when we stay in to hang out. but, when we go out to parties or dates, he loves the dark gothic look, mostly blacks and dark reds.

I agree with Mandy K - I feel like most guys say they like 'natural' make up just because they don't really know much about makeup in general. It took a while for my boyfriend to admit he likes it when I wear dramatic eye make up just because he thought a smokey eye meant "All Black, lots of black & black everywhere!" haha

My husband likes when I use bright colors. Pretty much anything that isn't neutral. It's not that he doesn't like the natural look. He said he's so use to seeing me use multi colors and do out of the box stuff when I use neutral colors it like where's all the color & creativity? lol
