I have oily skin, so if I want to wear eyeshadow I need a really good primer. So far, the best I've used is Urban Decay's Primer Potion. Does anyone know of a primer that's even better than Urban Decay's? Or is about the same, but cheaper?

I tend to get oily lids and the only one thats worked to perfection for me is the same Urban Decay. I've tried NYX shadow base and it works but at times it creases on me. the ELF shadow primer works too but doesnt keep the eyeshadow vibrant all day like the UD does. (:

I started with UD but it eventually made my lids so oily. I now use Two Faced Shadow Insurance, LOVE it!

I have very oliy eyelids, and primer potion didn't work too well for me. I really like the eyeshadow base from artdeco. You only need the smallest amount, it your shadow will last for more than 24 hours. (I forgot to take of my makeup, that is how I know).
The only thing is that the scent is a tiny bit funny, but you only smell it when you open the pot. Reminds me of a maleperfume scent.
But I still love it!

For oily eyelids too faced shadow insurance works amazing it has a built in antipersprient in so it helps to control the oil...remeber whatever primer u use u need only a little amount to much of any primer will stull cause your shadow to crease because of product buildup hope this helps!

If I use Too Faced Shadow Insurance and MAC's Painterly Paint Pot together, my eyeshadow will stay the same and not crease for DAYS! :)

I like Too Faced shadow insurance the best, and combined with Maybelle color Tattoo as a base nothing seems to move on me all day and I tend to have very oily lids too.

I started out using UD but then I discovered MAC paint pots. UD is no longer my ultimate fave because the paint pots literally keep my color intact without creasing. Even in Florida humid heat my eyes look flawless for 8 hours.

As a makeup artist i LOVE mac paintpots as a primer! I like painterly as a skin color for pretty much everyone. It is bulletproof for all shadows. Another i have always liked was F. Y. Eye from Benefit. Never was a big fan of urban decays primer

i like the elizabeth arden primer i purchased last summer for $5 at marshalls. I also really like the NYX hd primer. I think they both beat out the UD primer postion. My makeup always stays on because i use a primer AND a color or neutral cream base (depending upon the color the shadow). My favorites are the NYX jumbo eye pencils, la colors eye pencils, and the maybelinne color tattoos!

UDPP and elf eye primers are the best in my opinion :) I've heard the elf mineral eyeshadow primer is better for oily lids :)

If you can get your hands on Ruby Kisses, try their eye primer. In my opinion it works just the same as UD. & it's only $3.99.

I really love Urban Decay's PP too!! But a lot of people swear by Too Faced Shadow Insurance, too! So I would try that one :)
