Men have been wearing make up for centuries from the Pharaohs to stage actors. In film and television its common practice. In moderation I don't see an issue, as long as the individual is happy wearing make up then its no issue. When it comes to application or look it depends on what the person wants and feels comfortable with from concealer to full make up. Judgement lies in the wearer.
Yes sir! If woman can wear makeup to enhance their natural beauty, why not a man? Adam lambert is a perfect example, an extremely attractive man made even more attractive by a little eyeliner :)
Something that has been brought up is that men wearing makeup is not manly. I would like to ask how. Is taking care of your appearance a feminine thing? Are only women expected to put effort into their appearance? Are only women expected to be flawless and men only expected to look bad because it's 'more manly'? At one point, wearing pants was also considered manly and not socially acceptable for women. How many of us own pants today? This is the same with makeup.
What makes things 'wrong' or 'weird' is our biased perception. Who are we to tell others what they 'should' do? If a man wants to wear no makeup, a little bit, or a lot, that's no one's choice but his.
So whether he wants to have bright pink lipstick and glittery eyebrows or no makeup at all, as long as he's happy, who are we to judge?
Yes, anyone should, including men! From barely there, to drag fabulous and everything in between. Makeup is great for any person, regardless of how they identify themselves, and it should be made available to anyone that is interested.
In a previous post I had mentioned that with my hubby's sun damage and wearing a goatee I wouldn't dare let him wear make-up but for years I've always asked him to let me apply polish on his toes (he has such great looking toes/feet) and a week ago he actually said YES! That same day that I applied it we went to a minor league baseball game and he flaunted them in his flip flops with no shame whatsoever. And when people made cracks about it he would turn around and say that he did it for his wife. He's still wearing it too. A nice deep blue from OPI. He's eyeing hot pink as his next color in honor of his grandmother who died of breast cancer....so yes....men can wear cosmetics...nail polish included. :)
My husband wore foundation.... Vvv light on the wedding day. Helped the photography lights bounce well. He's not worn it again but I don't c tge problem if that's all he wants. Equality n all.
Haha Faith k. I totally agree I'd find it so odd if my dad asked to borrow make up from me! But hey if that's what made the big guy happy then I'm all for it :)
Well it all depends.. If they're going somewhere special like a party or wedding or whatever or a night out with a girl and they have blemishes, a bit of concealer won't hurt! And make sure the eyebrows are groomed and trimmed as well as any nose hairs lol
It doesn't really matter who is wearing makeup. Anyone can wear what they want without anyone being judgmental. It is whatever makes you feel beautiful and comfortable with yourself.
