Following, if you don't mind. I'm interested in knowing more about the vitamin e oil. (:

If the baby oil is alright for baby's skin I'm sure it's going to be alright for your skin.. Baby's skin is much more sensitive.

I use baby oil to take off my eye makeup but Idk about the face
My cousin used to use that oil & it made him break out a little but that's because he has very very acne prone skin, he uses it for his hands though

I never used baby oil on any of my three kids as babies. Just because something is made for babies doesn't necessarily make it safe. Its ok to use as a makeup remover only if you are following up with a traditional cleanser to remove the film that it leaves behind because it truly has no redeeming qualities to it other than clog the sensitive areas of the eyes ( lash follicle, tear ducts). Vitamin E oil...its molecules are just too large to be absorbed by the skin by itself (if I remember the science correctly) so it will just sit on the skin being more of a hinderance than a benefit. So would I use it at night...no. If you are looking for a moisturizing oil I would look into argan oil ( not Josie Maran as you can find more affordable options at your local health food store), Tarte has an oil that is very popular with a few beauties here. I personally have one from NUDE Skincare in my stash...it absorbs quite nicely and I wake up the next morning with non-disco ball skin.

Vitamin e oil makes a great moisturizer. Vitamin e is found in a lot of our skin care needs as well as in ChapStick. it can help with signs of aging and for hydration as well as with fading of scars. It also can help the fight on preventing skin cancer.

@Megan you should be fine using it as a makeup remover as long as you follow up with a cleanser afterwards to remove the film that it will leave behind.

I work in a day nursery for children aged 3 months to 5 years and we NEVER use baby oil, as although it is formulated for babies it is mass-produced so contains cheaper ingredients which can clog skin and be dangerous. I'd definitely follow it up with a cleanser after having used it.

I've used vitamin E oil as a moisturizer, not the same brand though. I was using it because supposedly it lightened acne scars but it didn't really do anything for me. It just made my skin feel really greasy and like I thick layer of lotion on my skin. I have acne prone, dry/normal skin btw.

Shelley is 100% correct. Make sure you follow up with a cleanser after the baby oil and argan oil is one of my favorites. I use it every day and my makeup looks so much better and really helps with my dry skin.

I did a research on baby oil long time ago and it has something to do with refined crude oil. It apparently doesn't really have benefits of its own other than maybe locking in moisture and it does have a higher tendency to clog pores as well.
Vitamin E oil is a very viscous oil that does not absorb into the skin, but rather sits on top. Some people say it helps hair growth (eyelashes, eyebrows, hairlines). I have really dry skin so I bought vitamin e to moisturize at night. It doesn't do a good job at moisturizing at all because it would not absorb and it was too sticky and thick.

Unlike many other facial oils like avocado oil, almond oil and jojoba oil, the molecular structure of coconut oil is very flat, which means it has a tendency to clog pores if used too often, making it a comedogenic oil. Although some people use it religiously without any problem (I'm not one of those people sadly as I did break out after a week of daily use). Coconut oil is a carrier oil making it very fast absorbing and a "light" oil as well.

Hope this helps :)
