Has anyone tried mixing an illuminator in matte velvet +? Which one? How were the results? And other tips on making my matte velvet dewy?

What if you just use a dewy setting spray?

Not sure if this is what you're looking for, but how about this product? It's called Nymph Aura, supposedly you mix it into your foundation and it becomes dewy.

What setting spray are you using to make it dewy?

So frustrating, almost every time I comment it doesn't post because it asks for my log in again lol. I mentioned that I've never tried it with that specific foundation but I do it quite often with other foundations and I love the look it gives me. just make sure to add a very small amount, and if it doesn't give the look you desire add more the next time but start small so it doesn't look ridiculous & make sure it's not glittery. Sometimes I'll use an illuminating primer on top of my cheek bones and any other area I want then my normal primer everywhere else and that helps give an extra lit from within look on those certain areas. I agree though, dewy setting sprays don't work as well for me, I feel they help set it to a less matte finish but it obviously doesn't transform my foundation to a dewy look. It's just preference on what look you're going for, if a dewy spray isn't enough for you I'd try mixing the illuminator with your foundation and a good primer underneath it.

You can mix MAC strobe cream with your foundation to make it glow
Jacqueline recently gave me this tip, I'm going to MAC tomorrow and I'll tell you how it works (:

MAC strobe cream is excellent. I agree, but it is so luminous that I'd watch application on the nose/chin. Just a hint is needed and it works either mixed in foundation, or applied afterward...even great with bb cream. For extra dew, Josie Moran LITE Argan oil on the cheeks...so fresh. Cream blushes and bypassing powders also helps.

I agree with rozberry using cream products instead of powder helps.

You could mix a liquid highlighter with your foundation

Mix your foundation with a drop of a light oil like jojoba or grapeseed. Don't worry, the coverage won't be sheered and it gives the most beautiful healthy look to the skin.

I add in a mixing medium to my foundations. I use Mac's however I have a pro store conveniently located near me. I also like to use a bb cream all over then go back through with correctors and pink and yellow (mixed together) concealer to stipple on some extra coverage. I feel that the skin looks really natural this way, as if you're not wearing makeup.
