Need help! I've been breaking out more than usual. I drink lots of water and use a facewash regularly (Cetaphil). I've been wanting to try out proactive but haven't ordered because I didn't want it not to work. If any of you ladies have tried it or know someone who has, please let me know! Thanks ❤️

When I tried Proactive years ago, I hated it. It really dried my skin out and I was super red and flaky until I stopped using it and it didn't do anything for my acne.

Proactive is pure shit (excuse my language, I just hate it that much) it burned my skin, didnt get rid of anything & cost me a buttload of money I couldve used for something else.

I've heard such bad things about proactive. Ex. It burns skin, irritation, makes acne worse, does nothing. I haven't tried it but my cousin has it burned his skin.

Try a simple bar of dove soap the original scent and just that with a sensitive skin moisturizer should diminish the break outs. Your skin is one of the most sensitive things and so the more product you use on it the more sensitive your face will feel and start to break out even more if you're already struggling with breakouts. So sticking to a few products for skin care is a good way of reducing it and if that does not work for you or you're looking for a good product for face acne I would recommend Mario Badescu products he is a dermatologist whose products are amazing when it comes to acne treatment. I believe they are only sold on his website though. Hope this helps xoxo!

Proactive honestly made my face worse, it's been been about a year and my face has recovered for the most part but not completely. It's horrible, don't even waste your money on it.

I have tried Proactive twice now, first as a teen and then again in my early 20's, and it did not work for my skin at all. It was extremely drying to my normal areas but at the same time didn't dry up the problematic areas like I wanted. My skin also felt very sensitive while using it. I would save your money and either see a dermatologist or invest in a better product.

I really like Biore's charcoal scrub...it has 2% salicylic acid, which seems to work nicely on my skin.

I've had some bad breakouts over the years, and that product has really helped me look and feel much more radiant.

Massiell, you made me laugh! I agree with all the girls above. It made my skin worse and my parents wound up spending a fortune at a dermatologist to fix it. My skin became irritated, bright red, and so dry it was cracking. If you're able to, I'd recommend seeing a derm :)

I hated proactive. Waste of money!
It literally turned my whole face a red color and it burned for days.

I'm pretty sure the scrub in the wash just peeled or burned my skin! It was terrible!

Oh you can use a glycerin soap and get fusidic acid for specific spots you want to treat.

Proactive did absolutely nothing for me, only dried out my face!

I would not go for proactive! You can spend much less money on a more effective skincare routine. Right now I use a sulfur soap, witch hazel/cucumber (no alcohol) toner, and a tiny bit of jojoba oil as a moisturizer. This has made my skin the best it has ever been. I only have one tiny pimple on my chin right now and I'm using a Aubrey Organics spot treatment for that. Try to keep your routine more simple. An extra step I used when my skin was a little worse was an overall face treatment before moisturizer of lush's tea tree gel. I know that everyone's skin is different, but this type of routine has helped me. Also, I try and eat decent and drink water with lemon. Good luck!
