With summer coming up and the bikinis coming out, we get self conscious about the dark bikini area. I hated seeing that dark bikini line. So like always I did some research and started experimenting. I think I finally found a solution. I can honestly say my bikini line has almost completely faded it is almost completely gone. This is how I did it.
before I take a shower I take lemon juice on a cotton pad and rub it on my bikini line I let it sit for at least 10 mins. (which is a great time to put on a face mask get two things done at the same time.)
Then I get in the shower and wash up like normal wash my hair do whatever needs to be done then I take my homemade coffee scrub and use it on my bikini line. (also my butt and thighs cause its great for cellulite and stretch marks , dark spots and imperfections)
when I get out of the shower I dry off and moisturize mh favorite moisturizer for my bikini line is my Burt's bees repair serum ( sometimes I use vitamin e oil or coconut oil)
No more shaving try waxing yes it hurts the first few times but its worth it ( if you prefer to be completely hairless you'd be safe to get just the bikini line waxed and everything else your safe to shave but I just wax it all it lasts longer.)
I hope this helps you ladies

Please don't put lemon on your skin. There are serious dangers to putting lemon on your skin. Putting citrus on your skin can cause a phototoxic reaction called phytophotodermatitis, an inflammatory reaction that results in bruise-like hyperpigmentation, with the potential for nasty-looking blisters and burning. It's often mistaken for chemical burns. it is dangerous, painful and really not worth it. Read about it here where less than 3 minutes can trigger a huge reaction on rats. Even sunblock didn't prevent it. http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/m/pubmed/16313243/

I agree with Alyx. Lemon is beyond horrible for your skin.

I have read this article already and I have spoken to a deem about it with the right precautions it will be fine that's why you must moisturize after a lot of the chemical burn like reactions are from people abusing and not washing it off properly. I do tons of research and talk to lots of doctors and derms to make sure I don't do more harm then good before I try anything

You should never go outside without completely cleansing the area and washing away the lemon residue.

Honestly lemon isn't so terrible for the skin. use what's right for you at a controlled amount you know, and the Bruise-like hyperpigmentation only happens if you exposure area where you had lemon juice on to sunlight. This is why people say to do recipes including lemons at night and put sunscreen on the next day just to be safe.

It's not only hyperpigmentation, it's many other things as well. It's not good for your skin at all. Nobody can tell you what to put or not to put on your skin, but do it at your own risk. Personally, knowing that it causes multiple different problems, I wouldn't do it, simply because there are alternatives that won't damage my skin.

Washing it off isn't always going to prevent burns. In that study they scrubbed the rats with dawn dish soap and they still got burns. Moisturizer isn't going to do anything. Sunscreen doesn't always prevent it. There's many cases of burns when washing and putting sunscreen on, and clothes don't always protect you. You can burn from the sun with a shirt on. It might be working for you, but it's also sent tons of people to hospitals and dermatologists because it made things worse.

That is like anything though everything is different for different people and it is all about how you use any substance I understand what your saying but there have been a lot of studies and some derms feel differently it really just depends.
