Okay tomorrow night I have a very important memorial service I need to attend an my husband (who hasn't attending any meetings {jw} in several years) is coming too! So I really want to look my best while we walk in hand in hand with our kids. So here's my current skin issue, it's sooo flakey I feel like a snake shedding its skin. What do you recommend as in exfoliant a that'll get the job done on the first go? My current skin care: derm EXCLUSIVE am/pm, followed by la Roche-Posay physiological foaming water then Aveeno positively radiant daily moisturizer (or LANCÔME areénegie lift multi-action at night)

Here's my face::

I love the St. Ives Even & Bright scrub. It makes my face super soft

Maybe it would be good to include a BHA or AHA in your skincare routine for the future because it will help with the flakes in the long run. Now, this will get the job done but I would only use it for emergencies. Cheaper option, St. Ives scrub. More expensive option, Philosophy Microdelivery Vitamin C peel. I feel both of these options are a bit harsh but it will get your skin smooth. If you're into DIYs I have done this when I don't have those available. I will cut the top off of a tomato so there's the green "handle" on the slice and dip the thick sliced tomato into some sugar then get to exfoliating. I think I saw it on a Michelle Phan video a few years ago.

I like to exfoliate with ground up oates mixed with honey and olive oil. You can grind them up more fine or you can make the oates into larger chunks depending on how abrasive you want it.

If you're near a store that sells Eco tools (I know Ulta and target do) they sell a $5.99 Konjac sponge. It's a manual exfoliant that's super gentle but girl does it WORK. I can always tell when it's time to buy a new one (they last a few months if properly cared for) bc my skin starts to look dull, and it's back to polished the next time I use a new one.

Damn jack thanks! We don't have ulta or target in Canada (target just got pulled lol) but Eco tools do sell at Walmart! And I am currently in the city! So I will look :) I got my face all fresh tonight with some scrubbing and brown sugar and aside from looking like death (yay being sick!) my skin is positively glowing :) but I will look for that tool, it would probably take out a bunch of elbow grease I used tonight lol.
