Is gel, mousse, or hairspray better for thick curly hair? I don't want to have to use a lot of product so I'm wondering which one will work the best for keeping my hair not frizzy, but using not so much product. Thanks :)

Gel...but whichever one you use be sure its alcohol free because drying alcohols are brutal on curly hair. There are fatty alcohols that are fine.

Have you thought about an oil? It will help nourish which helps with frizz and definition in curly hair.

Gel- I'd highly recommend the DevaCurl line. I got a sample of the Ultra Defining Gel through either Sephora or Ulta and was seriously amazed at how it transformed my hair. I've been doing wavy blowouts on repeat for the past 2-3 years and DevaCurl actually allows me to take a break from all the blowdrying :)
