I am having a devil of a time getting winged eyeliner done right on myself. I'd love some tips. I don't want the really thick look, just a nice lash-extension king of look.

Winged liner is very difficult and takes loads of practice to get it right. I've found that using a felt tip eyeliner pen works best for wings because they give you so much control. You can also use tape to make the line even and precise, just be sure to stick it on the back of your hand first so the adhesive isn't so harsh on your face

To tidy it up I use a pointed Qtip and some primer

Definitely agree with riff - the pen is the easiest for beginners - also check out Wayne goss's YouTube tutorial for easy cat eyes - I use his method daily and can get a practically flawless wing every time :)

What riff said! it's a total pain in the butt. my favorite eyeliner is stila stay all day liquid liner. it's a felt tip pen and is pretty precise. I also think that inglot gel liner is super easy to use with the right brush. it takes me now time at all to apply and get it even.
