Makeup On Airplanes?

I've never been on an airplane before, and tomorrows my first flight. I have no idea how this whole thing works. I know someone mentioned to me gels and liquids aren't allowed on planes. So, does that mean liquid eyeliners, mascaras, and lipsticks, etc, aren't allowed? if so, I would pack them in my carry on bag? My bags aren't going to be checked in also.

You can have liquids they just have to be 3 oz or under and in a ziplock bag in your carry-on. If you end up wanting to check your bag, you can pack any size liquid, just no aerosols.

Oh and I've never put my "makeup liquids" in the ziplock before, but you might want to just in case.

I agree with Kailey :) All makeup can be brought carry on, just be careful of things like tweezers, which they'll probably make you toss at security.

I had to put my mascara in the ziplock bag. Also, I think the ziplock bag needs to be a certain size. The TSA website lists things you can and can't bring.

These ladies summed it up well! And TSA did make me toss my tweezers, the little scissors in my nail kit lol, and maybe my nail clippers? Can't remember about those actually.

I'd bring anything that can break like eye shadows, blushes, things like that with you in your carry on. Last time I went on a plane I had mine in my luggage, which I've done before but they checked my bag and never closed my make up bag and all mine went EVERYWHERE. I was sooo mad. I had over $100 worth of make up in there and it was all over the place and my clothes. :/

Mascara, lip gloss, lip balm, liquid and gel liners all have to go in the bag. If it won't fit in the bag, they make you toss it.
