For me the Charlotte Tilbury bronze and glow palette is the most worthwhile splurge. It's beautiful and I use it every day. I would also invest in a good foundation, that is always worth I to me because I have very bad luck with drugstore ones. My favorite high end ones are the too faced "born this way", Armani "luminous silk", Make Up Forever new Ultra HD, and the new Marc Jacobs. All of these are seriously blowing my mind 💋

Anastasia Beverly Hills is amazing for eye brows. It really stays on all day and doesn't move.

If you don't have much high end make up yet it might be a good idea to ask for a set where you get a little bit of everything. Like the UD naked on the run or the Lorac Pro to go. You'll get bronzer, highlighted, and some neutral shadows in each I believe. A good way to start your kit.
