I used to think that I should conceal my acne too.. But what you should do is treat it.. I've been using Murad, I got it from Sephora but you could get it online. There's a cleanser I use every night and it's been working really well but it dries my skin out so I went back to the store and got a moisturizer to go with it and there's also an Acne spot fast fix, you put it on just your acne or the spot you're breaking out in and it actually helps a lot.. It works really good.. Most of my acne cleared up in less than 3 days.. Especially the slightly bigger ones :P and for the pictures I'd say wear more of a natural looking makeup and just smile, no one really looks too good in an ID photo anyways :P

I agree with Allison on treating it rather than concealing, honestly I don't think you'll be able to see them in the photo

Do not wear your hair up. I made that mistake. also smile it helps a lot. and no one really sees it unless you're asked for it

If they are raised, conceal ONLY the blemish itself, don't blend it in the surrounding skin, especially if your concealer is lighter than your skin/foundation. Just put a tiny dot in the center of the blemish and carefully blend it to cover. You may want to set it with a little powder so it doesn't look tacky/shiny.

Not about the breakouts lol, but just remember they'll probably make you put your hair behind your shoulders so prepare for that haha. Good luck!

If I remember correctly you're in Canada right? Because they will make you put your hair back, and won't let you smile. They may also make you take your makeup off if you wear to much, any shine in the picture will make them have to do it again, so stick with mattes! As for the pimples, apply a darker concealer to the center , and a lighter one on the edges to make it seem smaller and not raised. But honestly nobody looks good in their I'd photos. I look like an 8 year old killer lol. Especially in Canada NOBODY looks decent in their photos, since we can't have any emotions in it.

Yeah, I look horrid. I honestly look 8 lol, I got my ID before my license, so it's the same photo as my passport (which is a bit stricter than just I'd photos) and every time I go to a bar I get ID'd and the bouncer looks at me and usually says "you look like a 10 year old in this" lol. And it was only in December. But really, all Canadians look like its a mugshot in their government photos.
I'd just wear some concealer, some powder if you're oily and mascara that way there's no reason youd be shiny. Otherwise you might get there and get told to take your makeup off. It happened to my sister when we got our passports, she had winged eyeliner from being at work, and a bit of purple shadow on and the worker gave her a baby wipe and told her to take it off. They're polite about it and explain that it's not their decision, they have a bunch of guidelines to adhere to and if they don't, the ID photo is invalid and they can't give you your ID without a new photo.

Stay away from dewy types of finishes in that area, a dewy look around skin that has raised blemishes can highlight them an make them more obvious especially with a flash because they won't reflect light the same way the rest of your face would due to being raised compared to the rest of your face.
Stick to matte foundation in that area

That's interesting!! I live in the You.S and for my license picture I had my hair over my shoulders with a scarf on and smiling lol definitely getting it redone cause I look too excited and it's from 15 or 16yrs old.

Really Alicia? California just updated the rules to match the standards for passport photos: we aren't allowed to smile, our hair has to be behind our ears and off of our face (no bangs), and you can't have anything concealing your natural appearance (e.g. lipstick, glasses, colored contacts, blush, scarves, etc.) The only exceptions are religious attire.

Yeah I got my license in Louisiana, I even took it with my contacts in. I have to get a new one but they might updated it.
