Kelly H.

Hello Fellow BeautyListas!,
I am in some way piggy backing off of Shelley's post, so I know this may seem redundant in some aspects but still feel the need to speak this (moderators if you need to remove this I completely understand, but I feel it's related).

So many of you are new, I am certainly not the longest member or the most followed member of this site, but I have been on here for awhile. I just began posting again after reading Shelley's post because I started to blend into the background as the changes began to occur, so for you newer members (for everyone) this is for you.

Be kind to each other, life is hard, it is hard regardless of your background, your circumstances, living is hard and we sometimes forget that. Love each other, because there isn't enough of that in the world to go around.

Remember you are an example whether you think you are or not. You don't have to be a mother or an older sister, eyes are always on you, others see your actions and it affects them even when you think it doesn't. We are all being shaped by what goes on around us. I know this for a fact, trust me, I could take days detailing my life and you don't know me so that wouldn't affect you personally, but I know.

But remember Beauty really is more than skin deep. Our brains, our hearts, they are the things that make beauty shine from within, without those, all the makeup tricks and tips in the world won't make us pretty. Be kind to your fellow human beings, be kind to your comrades, remember we all hurt sometimes, we shouldn't hurt each other.

I know that all seems random, but I invite anyone that doubts to sit in on a heinous crimes report and listen to the things that happen in your community each week, listen to the 911 tapes and videos and hear the reasons that people become violent against one another, don't assume you aren't affecting the people you come in touch with week to week.

For the sake of happiness realize that it costs you nothing to be kind to another person. It is the smallest price to pay for the biggest payday.

Love,
Kelly

It's a shame it needs to be said more than once. I've checked this app multiple times daily but I haven't posted in a long time because I don't want any type of backlash. I just watch from the side lines.

Well said kelly. I must admit I sometimes forget that when someone is being rude to me in real life. Usually my response would be a lot of backlash but I don't know if something going on in their life to make them feel that way. Anyways, I have heard some users leaving cause of the rudeness going on around here, but I'm not sure if I see it firsthand because I'm not on that much (I hate you summer school).

So well spoken Kelly. I agree with every single point that you made. Especially when you said;"For the sake of happiness realize that it costs you nothing to be kind to another person. It is the smallest price to pay for the biggest payday."

I love these posts. I was most moved by "don't assume you aren't affecting the people you come in touch with week to week." It's so easy to get caught up in your every day routine. Coming from a person that has lost much in their life, it really was a nice reminder to continue to be humble every day. You never know which one is your last.

I hope the users treating others unacceptably take the time to read your post. Even if just one part of what you said touches their life.

I love this. Very, very well said. It's easy to dwell into negativity especially if it is in your surroundings, but I try to keep a happy vibe throughout life. Life is so short!

Love your post, I've been two years out of beautylish because of so many bad and painful comments, I'm back again since yesterday, hoping that this site is for helping each other with respect and love.

Great post. I loved reading Shelley's and yours is lovely as well. I was so happy to see your makeup post I always love seeing those from you.

it's sad that some people separate themselves from online communications thinking that they can just say whatever they want and there aren't any effects from it.
like mother's always say...if you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all.

Thank you so much for this post! I feel that anytime someone posts their opinion trying to be helpful, they get really negative and hurtful counterattacks (has happened to me) and it really made me stop posting for quite a while because I can't handle negativity on this app when I get a load of sadness and pain that goes on in the world from my news app. I can't thank you enough, and I really wish some people will read this so that this community will turn back into the helpful and encouraging community it was when I first joined :)
