So, my hair is like straight at the top, then wavyish, the curls a the bottom, and it gets really annoying how it gets all frizzy and gets so many fly aways in the middle of my hair. How can I fix this and make sure my hair is mostly smooth and soft and shiny looking??

Pureology Hydrate Shine Max. I cannot be without it. Just glorious.

My hair is exactly the same way! I found a major difference in frizz when I started doing these things:
Use a t shirt to dry my hair instead of a towel
Use gentler, more natural shampoo and conditioner
Running a tiny bit of oil through the ends if they are frizzy
And I used anti frizz styling products like curl keeper, or a gel serum. Suave has a really good one!
Hope this helps!

My hair is the same and I use a fizz control shampoo and condiner by Head and shoulders and it works really well.

I use Sheamoisture weightless line. It controls frizz and keeps hair soft but won't make it greasy. The weightless line is intended for fine to medium hair.

I would suggest you try what I use - Pro Naturals Moroccan argan oil. I use it after every shampoo/conditioner day (usually every 3 days) applied to the ends and only partway up the hair shaft. My hair is dead straight but I heat style to curl it and by using the argan oil it protects my hair when using heat styling tools but it stops any possible frizz and definitely no flyaways or static.
