Hello everyone
I'll like to know how you guys keep your hair healthy I have wavy medium puffy hair, I got a trim last month but all of a sudden all these split ends have appeared
I don't use hot tools, I wash my hair every other day and and take some vitamins

All of what Shannie says I agree with.
It depends on the type of hair too. Is your hair thick in diameter and coarse? If so, I wouldn't recommend a protein treatment more than once a month. If, on the other hand, your hair is fine, you can use a protein treatment every week. I found that they can really help my hair but if I overuse it on my thick hair, it'll make it a lot coarser so I can't go nuts :) (oh and coconut oil acts like a protein)

Another reason your hair might have split ends could be that you're styling your hair when wet, tying very tight ponytails and using bobby pins that don't have the plasticky protection at the ends. Another big no-no is drying your hair rubbing it with your towel to make it dry faster.

Use coconut oil. I use it once a week. It makes my hair shinier.

I agree I always love to use a protein hair mask once a week :-)

Maria, when you got your trim, did you ask for a specific amount to be cut...or did you ask for your split ends to be removed? While in the chair, I always seek my stylist's advice on my current hair condition as well as thoughts on how to improve or maintain its health..including my trims.

(That said, my stylist is a friend, but having a good rapport with a knowledgeable, experience stylist is a win...so don't hesitate to seek help if you trust them based on reputation/experience.)

Agree 100% with Rozberry! I followed my hairdresser's recommendation and now use Pro Naturals hair repair system. My hair is no longer dry, no more brittle ends, no longer dull and flat. I follow the suggested regime of one week in every six weeks and for the other 5 weeks I use my drugstore tea tree shampoo & conditioner.

Maria, what route did you decide to take with your hair? Have you tried anything that provided you with positive changes that you think will work for you?
