I want to try the loose powder foundation from bare minerals but was wondering what your opinions are on it. I have light-medium skin.

I personally really like it but I like powder foundations in general. They aren't for everyone, depends on what your skin type is and coverage you are wanting?

I want a light-medium coverage since my skin isn't to troublesome. My skin is oily and I don't like the feeling of foundation on my skin usually

It broke me out :( I've heard it does that to many people so I would go with a sample first. Just to be on the safe side

I used La Bella Donna powder foundation when I was younger. It's so pure and doesn't have the shimmer that Bare Minerals has...

I actually really like the bare minerals. At first I didn't like them because they didn't have a color for me but since they added more colors I tried it again and am really fond of it.
I get compliments on how smooth my skin would look. I'm oily and use the Matte version but I do have the original as well I use now and then.
It's very lightweight and it doesn't make my pores look bigger like some other powders I've tried, I like that it's so quick for days when I'm in a hurry and I find that it does last all day for me.
I have heard that it can cause some people to breakout due to bismuth but it really depends on the person.
My mom was very acne prone (quite bad acne at the time) and super sensitive skin and she didn't have any issue with it and loves it

I found it terribly drying and didn't care for the finish it gave me. I do enjoy mineral veil, however.

My mum adores this and has repurchased many times. But Shannies suggestion of Lily Lolo is great, her products are beautiful :)

They can be stunning but once you but it on your face it dries within seconds so you have to work fast with it

I have oily skin and use the matte foundation and I absolutely love it. It definitely saved my skin this summer, with liquid foundation I'd break out with all the sweat and heat, and that didn't happen at all...my skin also seems to look better over the past 5 months. I use a dense kabuki brush to apply it because I prefer more coverage since I have a lot of redness in my skin, which the foundation seems to cover up well.

I really hate it. It really didn't cover much of anything unless I used enough that it got cakey and clung to dry patches like crazy. I feel like for lighter coverage and something not suffocating to the skin a bb or cc cream is a better more beneficial bet.

I agree with Angela J. it clung to my dry patches really bad and the coverage sucked for me.

I used Bare Minerals for years and absolutely loved it. I wore Med color, original formula. My skin looked flawless once the mineral veil was applied to finish off the look. Now that I'm older (44) I find ANY powder I use settles into my fine lines and wrinkles and makes me look 10 years older. I currently use IT Cosmetics CC Cream and it's amazing. My skin looks dewy and so radiant. Love it! I would definitely recommend Bare Minerals if you have young tight skin with not a lot of creases for it to fall into...lol Like a couple other people on here said...get the small sample sizes to try it before you buy it, you may love it! Oh and I'd recommend using another brush other than the one that comes in the trial kit. I found their brushes to be scratchy and they irritate my skin when I used them. I have extremely sensitive skin. Good luck with your search!

It was great when I was in my mid twenties but went downhill when I hit mid 30's. It aged my skin rather than kept it in its youthful state. By the end of the day my skin looked like a pebble textured leather purse. And it broke me out as well in acne that took forever to heal.

I have it but I also have the Ready Pressed powder foundation and bronzer, and I prefer them over the loose minerals, especially because it is so much quicker to apply! However, I do feel that by the end of the day, it seems to just 'slip' off of my face, as I too suffer from really oily skin! Hope this helps xx
