its awesome! Seriously, smarmy rocks my face. She also have a lightning bolt cupcake, among other "tasty" treats. The necklace I'm actually MOST stoked on hasn't come in the mail yet, but I purchased a custom acrylic necklace that reads "Fat Bitch" in script font from this site:

I saw the "fat" necklace originally here:
http://shop.definatalie.com/product...

but they are hard to find now, all sold out. So I decided to get a custom one, to reference fatness AND feminism, instead of just fatness ;)

That's such a cool idea. I consider myself very fat-positive chick and am definitely a part of the fat acceptance movement, but it never would've occurred to me to express that through jewelry. Awesome, lady!

actually I just checked out your tumblr, and it's awesome! My MFA thesis is all about the fat body in relation to society, culture, food, and feminism. Been doing a LOT of work/research and I'm dying to talk about it rather than just read about it. Really been weighing (teehee) the options of a tumblr versus a wordpress. Any thoughts on that? Do you like the tumblr platform?

That sounds like an awesome thesis. My undergrad focused a lot on performative feminism and feminist social justice theatre. There was so much more that I wanted to do, especially in regard to body politics, but then I graduated! Haha.

I really do love Tumblr. It's less high-maintenance for me than trying to keep up with a standard blog. I don't feel the pressure to write longer posts on a regular basis (although I do, on occasion), but rather I can post or reblog other people's posts depending on what fits my fancy at the moment. I definitely recommend it.

You're not a fat girl. ;)

lol, actually, I am. I use "fat" as a power word to describe my body. I am not what the BMI index would indicate as normal, under, or even overweight. My BMI puts me at moderately obese. Fat doesn't have to mean unhealthy, I am a very healthy, happy, and sassy fat girl! And I love it!!

I'll take your idea of fat any day over mine. lol
