I swear I'm a very untrusting person but especially when it comes to my brows and hair. Seriously, it's the equivalent to having my life in your hands. And that's why I can't go to the shop to let someone else do my brows. Because for some odd reason it always seems like the beauticians/stylist/ eyebrow ladies lol have a secret agenda. Girls go in for a trim with butt length hair and come out with a pixie cut lol (I'm being extreme, but humor me) I just fear that I'll go in to clean up my low arched brows and I'll come out with a completely different shape or they'll be half gone. I only set my sister do them. (They're not filled in)

Who does your hair and/ or eyebrows?

I do my own. ALLLLLLLL my hair (brows and all) is my glory and I don't trust nooooone with it.

Especially like the Asian ladies (not to be racist) but they always say my eyebrows are too thick! And I love my eyebrows this way because I'm not forced to fill them in, if I don't want to.

Thankfully I've only had one bad hair experience. Lol I went into to get braid extensions and the stylist shaved the back of my neck, like a boys shape up! I almost cried!!

My mum does my eyebrows but I'm trying to get the hang of it before I go off to uni eventually πŸ˜‹ As for hair, I go to a nice salon with my mum because she knows just what words to use to tell them specifically what I want :-)

The last time I went to my hairdressers, I told her I wanted 1-2 inches off my hair. It was halfway down my back, and is now to my shoulders. I hated it, I'm a bit more used to it now.

I'm exactly like that with my brows Nala lol. I usually trim and dye my own hair unless its a dramatic change or if bleach is involved. I'm terrified of my hair falling out!

OMG hannah I would cry. Lol I would have brought a measuring tape and said, "2 inches!!"

I prefer to do my own eyebrows.
I can buy food for what I pay them, and it's not like they ever do a good job. One time I had no tail!

But seriously - the whole go in with butt-length hair and come out with a pixie cut is true unfortunately. It happened to my mother :(
All she wanted was a trim not a bob!

I'm too scared to do them myself. I never tweeze them enough lol I go in bushy and come out looking just as bushy. I never tweeze more than like 3 hairs lol

But I don't know how stylists don't understand how much woman who have long hair want to keep their length.

Oh your poor mom! I'd be devastated :( yeah I don't go to a salon to get my hair cut unless I want it significantly shorter.

I'm too scared to cut my own hair. And I've never had a bad experience with a cut or trim.

But.. My eyebrows are another story. When I was about 13 I got them waxed for the first time & it was horrible!! My shape was bad. There was a period that I had bushy one and then super thin ones.

But recently I went to ulta for the benefit brow bar. And it was amazing! This girl knows what she is doing! I'm actually going tomorrow for an update πŸ˜Š

I did cry! I got home and was so upset, I'd be growing my hair specifically, and I just wanted a trim to keep it healthy, and she lopped off loads! Hahahaha I'm doing that next time!

For hair I go ALWAYS to the salon. After years I ve found the perfect hair stylist that do ONLY what I ask for.
To the contrary I do my own brows. I ve tried a lot if beauticians and seem like they enjoy to wax them so thick to looks like line πŸ˜€πŸ˜€πŸ˜€πŸ˜€

I found a girl in San Diego that was great! Of any of you are in that area, let me know. I also found a great hairstylist there as well. But of course I moved to AZ! But I've learned I like the Paul Mitchell way of cutting hair.

I recently let someone new wax my eyebrows because the lady that usually does it was out and they were looking rough... Biggest mistake of my life!!
It was a guy that was dressed like a female with artificial nails...
He took half my eyebrow from the top and made it too thin the other is thicker as it is naturally but he took a lot from the inside so its short and they are shaped odd and asymmetrically now... And yes I cried.

I cut my own hair all the time. and always get compliments
and only go to one salon. the lady always does them good.
I went to a different spot one time and the wax burned me and didn't even romove most of the hairs.

I rarely trust a salon with my brows same as you! my mom usually does them for me (she's SO good haha) and I'll clean them up between "appointments." before that I went to a hole in the wall salon in queens, ny.

Oops didn't mean to post yet. I'm in upstate ny now and it's so hard to find anyone to trust with my eyebrows or thick, ethnic hair. :( I went to a local place for my brows and they butchered them after I'd told her I'd been growing them out for months. don't get me started about my hair stories. :(

OMG Danielle! I wouldn't have paid.

And yes Cyndey, I don't trust anyone with my natural hair. I only go to the salon to get box braids. I want to go to a reputable natural salon get my hair cut. I know most places are going to eff it up lol

Okay. So I see what you're saying. I was like that too because I had some bad eyebrow experiences but they're eyebrows, as long as your taking care of your body and not overplucking, they'll grow back. I looked into a reputable eyebrow lady near me and I've never looked back. Thanks to yelp lol. But it's true, she took the time to ask what I wanted (make sure they know) and she told me what she was going to do. Step by step she showed me and I loved them.
I have all the right tools and products to do my own eyebrows. But it's LITERALLY nothing like when I get them done. Not being a bitch here, but I see girls say they do their own brows and I think: "yeah I can tell". Not in a judgmental way, but in a I-know-you-could-have-such-nice-brows way. Get me? It's worth a try.

Oh and I'd never get waxed. It tugs at your eyes and can cause wrinkling. I thread. It look crisper too (if that makes sense lol).

I would go to a benifit brow bar if there is one near you because instead of them just doing it they basically dot where they would wax them and then show you and won't wax or anything until you okay everything.

I just got threaded (eyebrows) by a woman who was clearly stuck in the 90's, I now have pencil thin arches which will take weeks to grow in. Yeah, I'll stick to my normal threader, whom I trust from now on!
