I think it's fine, and that they can where as much as they want as long as it subtle and not too colourful. What are your opinions?

Well I don't know.. I started to have a real foundation routine when I was like 18/19 and I'm 20 now. Lol I used to only wear mascara. So yeah I've been into make up very lately. And I think I'll try to the same with my daughter, if I get the chance to have one one day :). But I'm really not judging. Like Jacqlyn said it's their faces! As long as you do what make you happy no one as the right to judge.

I started wearing foundation, eyeliner and mascara around the age 12. Mum left here makeup in the bathroom so I put it on one day and decided I liked it aha.

It's fine by me but as long as it's removed at night time, I've read somewhere that every night you sleep in makeup, you age a day more.

Best to let them wear some, and teach them to apply it correctly, then to have them sneak around, not know what they are doing, and look like a clown. Light shades, gloss, concealer, can look age appropriate and do wonders for their self esteem

My mother wouldn't let me wear it all, I still bought some with my allowance, and had no idea what I was doing. If a teen wants to wear makeup, their going to do it.

I think like a bb cream, lipgloss and maybe mascara are sufficient til at least 15, but to each their own I guess however I do have a problem with some 13yr olds I know looking like they are 19 (my age) I just don't feel that's right but that's just me.

I think it's okay. I started wearing makeup at 15 and it was only powder foundation and mascara.

I think minimal makeup is okay like lip gloss and mascara. but I hate seeing 12 year old girls with a full face and they look like they're in their twenties. people grow up too fast nowadays lol. when I was young I liked to go play outside :p

I'm in agreement with Jacqlyn. Just because they're a young person doesn't mean adults should govern every little thing they do. If I had a child and that child was a girl I would much rather her experiment with makeup than get a bunch of tattoos and piercings at a young age. Makeup is a way of expression. Yea it might not always look good but you live and you learn. I looked like hell when I first got into makeup. But I learned and my tastes changed and I grew as person and now it's a lot better. I think if they want to try it out they should be allowed. I would definitely try to teach the basics and the proper skincare that should accompany makeup as well. As long as they properly remove it and keep up with their skincare I wouldn't care. This is probably why I'm better off being someone's aunt rather than their mother though lmao.
