I was wondering if anybody else had this problem. This primer really seems to make me flake just on my forehead which is really weird. I love how it makes my makeup glide on, and the oil control, but I think I may need to try a new primer.

Suggestions on a better primer?

Is it good for sensitive, acne prone skin? I run into that problem a lot with primers because my skin doesn't like the silicones and oils.

I believe Hourglass Veil Mineral Primer is a silicone based primer. Try Cover Fx Primers, great for sensitive and acne prone skin.

Lorac n cover fx are both great for acne prone sensitive skin - and the hourglass is a primer that goes from liquid to powder and that's how it controls the oil so well but if you have dryness in certain areas it can grab on to those areas and make them appear even more dry - I second the cover fx anti-acne primer it is pretty amazing and I think it mattifies better than the hourglass.

I've actually wanted to try the cover fx primer for awhile. Will it accentuate my dry areas though? They have a travel size on their website, it would be a good place to start.

CoverFx might work better for you.
I personally dislike the Lorac primers, they are misleading about being safe for 'acne prone' skin. They still contain fragrances, and one of the main ingredients is Ethylhexyl palmitate which is highly comedogenic and is known for causing break outs.

@Brandy I doubt their ant-aging primer will accentuate dry areas. That would contradict the anti aging aspect of it ☺

Brandy what do you use before you add the primer? And when using primer it can be used only in areas you would need it versus all over just like foundation.

Alma-- I use a vitamin c serum, then moisturize with lush imperialis. My foundation is the tarte amazonian clay full coverage. I've never thought about using it only where I get oily because I love how it allows foundation to glide on.

Usually you should have more then one face primer as well because not all are the same and skin is sometimes funny one day its good the next its a pain. You should always have a hydrating primer on hand so you could use in the areas that are dryer.  :-)

Thank you! I may have to repurchase my smashbox hydrating primer for my dry areas :)
