What are the best drug store tanning lotions that don't leave skin orange? I'm using a tanning lotion from Victoria Secret now, it's called "Self Tan". & it looks great when I first put it on, when it comes off it's blotchy. 👳

Do you exfoliate before using it? It could be clinging to areas of dead/dry skin. If you use a body scrub before applying it you might see better results

Honestly, pretty much all self tanners are going to look splotchy when they start coming off. I feel like I've tried just about every kind and brand out there and they all do the same thing. Self tanners just don't fade evenly like a natural tan does. I've just given up on them lol.. I've decided I'm just meant to be pale!

Self tanners all use dha to react with the amino acids in your upper most layer of skin cells creating a brown color, as the colored skin cells fall off they leave you looking patchy, I find the best thing to do is use a tinted moisturizer when my self than is wearing off but it's not quite faded enough to re apply, the tinted moisturizer works well to even out patchy Tan :-)

I love Vita Liberata pHenomenal tanning mousse, they claim it can last up to 3 weeks if applied 3 times in 2 days. It's fading naturally and everybody's been asking me if I was in the sun lately and that they love my tan..I guess it looks real!! It's not as green as St. Tropez. It's very expensive but in my opinion it's worth the splurge. (always exfoliate first and use the mitt to apply!)

Haha, we should just be happy with what we've got right? If only it were that simple. I'm ghostly pale -_- & just about a year ago I stopped tanning because I want beautiful skin when I'm older. If I find a good one I'll let you know!

Thanks! That makes sense haha. Guess my lazy self never thought of that. I let it look blotchy for days until it's gone, then interview applied. I need to keep up with it haha.
