I'm so confused when it comes to figuring out makeup & skincare ingredients. I read one thing and then another tells me something completely different and I have no idea which one is right and wrong. Oh then I read don't use this and another tells me it's ok. Is there any very detailed books out there that have the correct information on ingredients?

I think there is just go to a book store and ask for a skin care book

I'll try to find some and go to a dermatologist, but I really can't sit at a derms office all day and ask them "what's this ingredient? So what's it made of? How is it used? Does it have different purposes or another name? Is this ingredient the same as this one?" See that's kinda my dilemma.
