Okay, so I have dark brown hair and I haven't dyed it a dark color since October and I dyed two strips of it...or attempted to at least dye the strips blonde and it only dyed an inch of my hair blonde and made the rest light brown. I used I believe loreal hair coloring or revlon not sure, but what is the best brand of bleach and any tips??

Hey girl! If you're looking for a prelightener or something that isn't specific bleach you have to mix yourself the Nordic blonde lighteners are great for an alternative to bleaching and they often work just as well, even better sometimes but because you have dark hair I'd go with a 30vol peroxide and bleach powder, I'd bleach once and see what colour it comes out as, if it's an orange what I would do is put the lightest brown dye I can in, or tone it to more of an ash blonde so it isn't "orange" after that I'd leave my hair for a week minimum (I'm impatient and always only wait a few days) but a week will help the second bleach lift more, if you didn't want to bleach you could try the Nordic blonde dyes like I suggested earlier :) always bleach on dry, unwashed hair. So a few day old hair, it'll help minimise the damage caused bleaching on washed hair (conditioner is a sealant so when you try to bleach over that it has to work harder and more damage) from my experience anyways. What Color are you trying to achieve? :)

Well what I've told you is what I've done in the past 2 weeks and my hair is now silver when I tone it how I do and platinum when that fades out :)

Hmm I'm trying to think of where I could get that from because where I live we don't have a beauty store which really sucks.

It will probably be in a white bottle where you are, in Australia they seem to make things look so much different than it does in other places lol._. I'd really recommend the Nordic dyes then, you can buy them almost anywhere. :)

But it will probably take longer just because they aren't actual bleach, idek how to explain the difference but they do exactly the same thing as bleach does (still comes with bleach powder) but it comes with a bottle applicator so it's easy to apply

My advice is go to a professional. I would be terrified to do it by myself and screw my hair up ha.
