So I'm in the process of getting my hair near platinum blonde... hopefully if all goes well... Wednesday I'll be a step closer. so I was wondering what you ladies think it would be a good color to add to the platinum. I'm going for just one big strand in the front. today I experimented with hair chalk... what you think?

if you ladies have any ideas please include pics if possible. thank you!

I was originally thinking lavender. but I don't know if a salon would be able to do that?

You add a hint of color without the commitment using a great purple shampoo applied to dry hair. You let it sit and when you rinse it out, you have a nice pastel color to it and so you can do a streak...or do a "dip dye" effect on your ends. I sometimes do my ends like that to mix it up.

Yea girls I'm so torn between ideas!!
@rozberry in order to do that I have to have really platinum hair right?

I don't think so. Mine is light, but not platinum (at the moment..lol) and even in winter when I go to an ashy blonde, it still adds a purple tinge. Are you currently using any purple shampoo? It helps (on wet hair) to cut brassy and keep orange and gold tones at bay when you're blonde...especially a bottled blonde. You're not going to get the color payoff you would if you WERE lighter, but you should see a nice soft light purple on the color you have now if you used it dry.

Hmm...that's pretty good stuff, but I like a thicker shampoo with more rich color such as Pravana Light or Fudge. You can always test a few strands with your current purple shampoo on dry hair and see if you get any results. You may like it! I'd just be sure whatever I use is sulfate free. That's a personal preference.

It's insane trying to keep up with what not to use; I just know my stylist gave me products and said use THESE and they work. Water itself effects hair. Even the temperature of the water does. We just do what we can where we can and hope for the best! Can't wait to see the finished product. Good luck!  :)
