I'm by no means small or petite (though I'm a tall 5'1) lol but I want to say don't think because you're not a size 0, you can't wear a two piece. You wear the swimsuit, not the other way around. With confidence you can wear anything.

I hate swimsuit shopping but not for the reasons most would think. I have a stomach (albeit a much smaller stomach than I had last year) but the only issue I have is my boobs lol it's hard to find matching bikinis that fits them😖 I wear a 38DD so it's like I'm plus size on top. I have a love hate relationship with them.

So next time you go shopping look in the mirror and say to yourself. "I love the way I look, regardless if anyone else likes it. I live my life for me, not to try and fit other peoples idea of beauty. I'm beautiful no matter my size, my hair, my skin, my eyes, nose, mouth, etc. I was made this way for a reason and I love me."

Post some swimsuits you love, hate, tried on, or own. Lets get some summer inspiration.

Nala you look lovely in any outfit and I totally agree, no matter what size you are, a triple zero or a size 100 you can wear whatever you want. You shouldn't wear something because someone tells you it's the social norm (e.g big girls in one pieces, tiny girls in bare all two pieces), you should wear clothing to reflect and empower yourself and other women! Thanks for the thread.

I just know how I felt when I was bigger and I hated it. I don't want anyone else to feel ashamed of their body. The world would be a disgusting place if we all looked exactly the same. So many woman get caught up in this stereotype that we're supposed to look a certain way for a guy to find us attractive. If someone likes you, they'll like you whether you're big, small, or Green.

Wear what makes you happy and feel alive. Who cares how others feel? Do their feelings add or take away from your life? No! So don't give someone else power over your life.

Thanks Renay and Maggie!

As I've gotten older, I've learned a lot about myself. I would have never thought about wearing a two piece or cutting my hair cause I was to worried about what others think. But honestly, what they think will never change. People will always find something to not like about you. So what's the point in making yourself miserable trying to please the unpleasable lol (unpleasable isn't a word, don't judge)

Thanks Taylor. If the top fit properly, I definitely would have bought it. But I'm pretty sure exposing your nips is illegal lol and that top was a nip slip waiting to happen. 😂😂😂

Looking good girl!
I know exactly how you feel. I'm "top heavy" too lol so I know how frustrating that can be.
love yourself for who you are not for what someone else thinks you should be.

I love your personality. We're like two chocolate chips from the same cookie.

I'm sure no will ever be 100% happy with themselves. That's life. But we can't go around letting it downing ourselves because we think something else is better. People put such an emphasis on appearance. When really it's the most irrelevant thing.

Omg, you too, Nikelle?! It's a blessing and a curse. I love my boobs but finding bras and bikinis suuuuuuuucccccckkkkk. They NEVER have 38DD bras for cheap. The smaller sizes are easy to find for a bargain.

You look great wish I had the same thinking as you nala, I feel really ugly about my stomach and my tighs. I'm 5'1 too. You look beautiful in that bikini btw nala.

You go girl! I agree %100 with you.

Jenny, they're only ugly if you think they are. I have stretch marks all over my boobs, the small of my back, and my thighs. Plus extreme acnes scars over my whole back. I can only feel bad about them if I want to. Your mind controls how you feel. Whether you love or hate something, its up to you.

Nala you are too funny!
I've never attempted a two piece. I get mad enough just trying to find a bra that fits. and like you said it doesn't help that they have to cost so much more money.
@Jenny.. don't feel bad about any part of yourself. no one is perfect. I always say what makes you different from someone else just makes you that more special.

You should Isabel! I feel like I wasted so many of my teen years ashamed of my body. I wore tankinis and hated it. I thought covering up would make me feel better but it didn't matter what I was wearing because I wasnt comfortable in my own skin. Know that you're beautiful girl, wear what makes you smile when you look in the mirror!

Well said Beautiful Girl!!👌💐

Great message! I battle with the daily problem of thinking that I'm overweight. (I'm 5'8" and I'm on the lower side of my weight numbers for my height) I have the curviest body out of all my friends, I'm a 36C and I have stretch marks on my boobs, thighs and hips. I've been working out and I lost 5 pounds, and I'm starting to get confident. It's all about how you feel, forget everyone else! xx

Nikelle, believe me I know. I have to usually buy my bras from Lane Bryant which is funny because I'm not even plus sized. You should totally try them though.

I was like a giddy school girl when I tried this on! Lol I never thought I had a bikini body. But any body is a bikini body if you put a bikini on it

Nala and nikella, your advise really means a lot to me, thank you so much this gave me a lil more confidence in wanting to try a bikini and not care what no one else thinks, and just love my self from head to toe. thank girls ,

Exactly Kaitlin! There's nothing wrong with being bigger as long as you're healthy. I mean to be honest, we're supposed to have fat on our bodies, it's healthy. The point is to just not have too much. I mean if you're healthy and your big, don't try and change because you think it's "better".

The main reason I stated losing weight is because I had gotten to the point that I stopped having my period. I went 4 months without them. (At my heaviest I was 189) I was put on birth control to force them to come every month. Since my weight had dropped below 180, I've had them every month.

I'll tell anyone losing weight and any person who has lost weight will say the same, if you don't fix your outlook about your body, no amount weight loss will help you.

Well my doctor said it was just a side effect of carrying a lot of excess fat especially in your midsection. And the fat is all around your organs just puts a lot of stress on the organs.

It's not super uncommon.

You look beautiful Nala!!

Thanks so much for this post. I've been having a lot of self confidence issues. I'm 5'8" and weigh 120 but my friends are all twigs. My friends and I don't look good in the same clothes because I have bigger hips and it makes me feel so fat! Like every girl in my grade is a lot smaller than me! :/

I don't want to be stick-thin, I want to be healthy, but its so hard to remember when I see them in their 00 jeans or skipping lunch. I feel pressured to be like that :(
