How do you get hair to stay straight once you have straightened it? Is there any product that I should try?

I have wavy hair. I usually apply mouse when my hair is wet. Then before I straighten in I spray hair spray in my hair and comb it through. I use Aussie products because it doesn't make my hair feel like it has tons of product in it. Then. You straighten it. It should stay straight because it has that extra hold.
