Hair chalk may work, it just depends o what color. reds or pinks are more likely to show. as for a temporary wash iut, unless your planning on bleaching your hair first, not much is going to show up on dark hair. why not get some clip in extensions in a fun color?

Manic panic is an amazing temporary hair dye, you can leave it in as long as you want and your hair will be super duper soft once you finally decide to wash it out. my cousin uses it a lot and everytime she does she leaves it in overnight and washes it out in the morning. I'm not sure if there purple will be as bright as that picture but it did end up a really nice purple when I used it.

Manic Panic is a vegetable dye, and will last longer than a week in most cases. It is also extremely difficult to remove from hair if you need it gone quickly.

Chalk is probably the most temporary option, though it will make a mess and get all over everything. Otherwise, I think there are temporary comb-in colors at Sally Beauty or the drugstore.
