This is a gradient eye, not a smoky eye. :) left picture is a gradient eye (color gets darker as it travels from the inner corner to the outer corner) and the right is a smokey eye (color gets lighter as it goes up from the lash line to the eyebrow)

And yeah... Its a smokey eye. Smokey eye doesn't just have to be black.

Doesn't look like a smokey eye in any of the pictures to me :/ the darkest color should be all over your lid. in your pictures it seems your darkest color is at the crease. anyways, it still looks nice. you have really pretty eyes.

I would ask Mrs. Jackie about how to create a successful smokey eye, at least if you want an in depth explanation. Therefore I must disagree with Hannah S...

Anyway, a smokey eye usually consists of three shadows: black, dark brown and a tan color most usually. However there are other variations... Now in order to determine the success of a smokey eye, you must judge the application of the liner and the quality of the blending... Now eyeliner should be applied to the lid, normally from about the lashline half way up. This will provide a black base for the shadow to stick to as well as richen the intensity... Once applied the eyeliner needs to be blended up and out until there are no harsh lines. Next you can apply the shadows. Black on the lid, brown slightly overlapping and above, and so forth... Now one of the most important things when dealing with a smokey eye is the blending, is the blending of your shadows. you want your blending to be so flawless that you can't tell where one color starts and the next stops. You also want to make sure the transition shade where your shadows blend back into your skin color or the relative tone should also be soft and smooth, not to harsh.

Finish it off with lashes/mascara, and whatever else you feel is needed.

A few more things to keep in mind... Fit the shape of your shadow to your specific eye shape. Quality is important. Creasing can ruin your smokey eye, so choose a good primer, etc...

All the info given has been learned from the amazing muas Jackie H. and Alma. M!:) Gotta love them and the knowledge they give us.<3<3<3<3<3<3
