It looks like the wig needs to be brushed. It also looks like it isn't a very good quality wig. There's some tutorials on YouTube for scene hair wigs :)

It's not to my tastes. I was a bit sceney back when Andrew said it died and I really do look back on those pictures and cringe.
But if you like it then go for it. It's your hair after all.

I think if she likes the style then it shouldn't matter if scene "died." Personally I love indie scene and grunge styles. It's not about if it's still popular or not. It's about wearing what makes you happy.
