I've heard a lot of different things about gradient eyes and smokey eyes and how people are confuse on which is which. Could someone explain the difference? Pictures would help too. Thanks!

I feel that smokey eyes are more intense when gradient is more like ombré

Smokey has the darkest color all over the lid. a true smokey eye also would not have liner. I'll try to find pictures.

Gradient. notice how they put Smokey lol. but it's not a smokey eye because as you can see, the darkest color isn't all over the lid. it just gets darker to the side.

Okay thank you! That makes a lot more sense now! Pinterest has confused me with all the "smokey" eyes.

One of the most important lessons BL taught me is that there is an insane amount of false information out there. Whether it be youtube, pinterest, instagram, etc. 🙌 So stay informed and don't be fooled!

Remember Pinterest pics or any other makeup enthusiast may not be actual makeup artist it's not to say all are not but it's a rare thing to see because the titles of actual techniques would be more correct plus some like to add a little twist of their own to a technique .Just a quick point Gradient is not a ombre those two shadow techniques are different as well. :)
