What is your favorite liquid liner? Something really dark, smudgeproof, easy to do a really thin line if I want, or thick. I'm thinking about investing in a higher quality eyeliner. I've read a lot of good stuff about the Kat Von D liners?

How long does a liquid liner typically last for you? I'm using the kind that comes in a pot right now.

Which kind do you prefer? Pot, liquid, or pencil? Or other types?

I'm just so bad with makeup and don't know a lot and want to get better.

Honestly, the elf liquid liner is a dollar and it lasts me all day, and it's really dark and smudge proof. Another good one is the revlon liquid liner, which has a sturdy felt tip that makes doing wings and other stuff super easy and quick. It also stays on really well.

I'm not much of a liquid liner girl, but the Kat Von D does absolutely rock. It's wonderful, super black, doesn't drag or wipe itself away while I apply, it's so easy to work with and you can press it right into the lash line for a super thin line. It also doesn't smudge, and lasts me through a good 19 hour day.

In all honesty, I'm a pencil liner girl. I've always been a firm believe that a good pencil can do anything that any other kind of liner can, and that has held true for me.

Right now I'm loving the nyx liquid liners and Maybelline NY Studio Master. Elf liner was ok better than some others out there.

Thank you all for your help!! I'll definitely try out the elf one since so many of you liked it and its only a buck! @Hannah, that sounds like exactly what I'm looking for. Thanks for the detailed description! I really want to try it :) do you know how much it is? And I do like pencils sometimes for my lower lash line to make it softer, but I haven't found one that stays on. :/

I like n.y.c. brand black liquid liner. its about $4 and doesn't smudge despite my very oily skin. I was pleasantly surprised at it's staying power.

So, I was referring to the felt tip (it just occurred to me now that she also has a real liquid liner) but the felt tip is awesome. Like I said, it is so easy to work with! I believe it's around $18. As for pencil liners, I'd be happy to give a recommendation on those for you if you're interested :)

Yes!! the Kat Von D all the way! it is very smudge proof until you want to take it off, very black, easy to use, maked crisp sharp lines. Yes! I tried elf liquid liner and I just didnt like it at all. I just didnt like the texture on the lid.I've had both liners and I NEVER reached for the elf one. I ended up tossing it. But since it is a dollar its worth a try. The KVD I think from what I remember is $20. But very much worth it!

The kvd is a brush tip and the product feeds through the bristles. I think because of that it comes out as a bold stark black rather than felt tip because felt tip is more like a marker.

Wow so many responses! Thank you all :) @Hannah, that'd be awesome! What would you recommend? I usually only use black. @Ivanna, thanks for the examples! I really love how that looks. Definitely going to try it :)
