Hey y'all, this is probably going to be a lot of things in one. First of all, this is possibly the first time in my entire life that I've worn an entire face of makeup. I'm wearing almost everything there is to wear.

Products used:

Kat Von D Innerstellar palette in Lunacy, Astrological, Dark Star and Moonshine
Urban Decay Primer Potion
Urban Decay 24/7 liner in Zero
Eyelure Naturalites Falsies
Duo Brush-on Lash Glue

Hourglass Mineral Veil Primer
RCMA Foundation in shade OL-2
Nars Radiant Creamy Concealer in Custard

Bite Beauty Lipstick in Restina

Now, I think I'll do a review on all the new things...that's a lot. This is going to be a wall of text, so if you read it all, good for you!

KAT VON D INNERSTELLAR
Okay, I wanted to try to use as many shades as I could from the palette, but I ended up using only four of them. Three of the four were extremely nice. The one I had a problem with was with Astrological. It's a super pale purple but it honestly looked like NOTHING on. Have any of you used the Esperanza palette? It's like that mint green shade that's so pale it's hardly a color. I ended up covering it with Moonshine which HOLY CRAP I'm in love. It's the most gorgeous blue grey shimmer of all time. I ended up with it all over my lid and I'm just thrilled with this color. Lunacy is a close second favorite shade in the palette, it's such a pretty purple shade and it doesn't pull reddish like a lot of purples I've tried (oh hey, Chrysalis palette). I used Dark Star to blend out Lunacy, and I'm pretty happy with how that turned out, Dark Star is so pretty because it's like a golden brown that pulls purple. I love the way they blended together.

Overall, I think this palette is a winner, it's so pretty and it just has great wintery shades that anyone can use. Also, when I would dip my brush into the colors, there was next to no product dust. It all stuck to my brush instead of getting everywhere like some of her palettes have done to me in the past. The textures are super smooth, they feel very nice on the lid and they are really nicely pigmented. Even Moonshine, which is incredibly glittery, didn't have any fallout and is really pigmented. As I said, the only problematic one I tried was Astrological, the pigmentation was stellar on the rest of them :)

There are 5 mattes and 7 non-matte shades (pearlized, glittery, shimmery or satin), which is fine with me since I prefer shimmer most of the time, but that may be a turnoff for some.

I also like the shade range a lot, I'm a fan of purple shades but I also like that it has both browns and greys instead of one or the other. That's a huge win for me, because most palettes stick to one tone whereas this one has both and that makes it more versatile in my opinion. The only thing I wish is that there was maybe one more pale shimmery purple, or if Astrological itself was shimmery...of if Astrological had pigmentation.

I give the palette an 8/10, just because I feel that because Astrological is so annoyingly sheer, there are only really 3 non neutral shades. That's not to say that I don't adore it, I absolutely do and definitely recommend it, I just wish there were one or two more colorful shades.

DUO BRUSH ON GLUE AND EYELURE NATURALITES
I like both of these, I do. I think that the Duo glue is awesome because the applicator is a little brush, so I no longer have to squeeze out lash glue and worry about it getting everywhere. It's also nice that it starts off a bluish iridescent shade and then gets darker blue as it dries, which is awesome and then I know when to put them on. I've had my falsies on for a few hours now and I can tell that they're holding up nicely.

The falsies themselves are nice. They're light and natural looking but still pretty and visible. The two problems that I have are: 1, the band is obnoxiously bright white so I had to add eyeliner where I wasn't intending to. And 2, I should have trimmed them because they're just a bit too long so they're poking me a touch. Other than that, they're wonderful!

Glue: 10/10 will never use a different glue again
Lashes: 6/10, I prefer dark bands and they're a bit pokey if you just leave them as is, I definitely have better lashes. They're great at looking natural, though!

HOURGLASS MINERAL VEIL PRIMER
This is my first time ever using it, but I like it a lot. I have a little sample size for right now that has been getting 0 love. But having tried it, I actually really like it. It's super smooth and I feel like it applied really evenly to my skin and just made it feel a bit more evenly textured. I think it's also doing a decent job of keeping my makeup on. I like that it makes my pores on my nose look so much less visible just on its own and without foundation. Of course, foundation helps...

I give this product a 9/10, it feels nice and makes a difference in the texture of my skin even before foundation.

RCMA FOUNDATION
Okay, Jackie and Alma are my heroes for pointing this out to me and letting me know how to work with it. I think it's lovely. It is so lightweight it doesn't feel like I have anything at all on my skin. It's also not drying, and it doesn't make my skin look dry, but it's definitely no making me look greasy either. It's like my own skin, but a slightly more even tone. It also blended incredibly nicely and felt really smooth. It also makes my face look flawless and takes away any redness that I can see without making my face look like I've decided to frost it like a cake. I think my skin looks awesome and I'm madly impressed with the shade, it suits my skin pretty exactly. I used shade OL-2, I believe. I also didn't set it with anything but I think it's staying on pretty remarkably well, it's been about 3 hours or so.

I give this an 8/10. It's absolutely amazing, don't get me wrong, but I want to learn to work with it a little bit better than I do now, on my first try.

I think that's everything new, again, I'm sorry this is the longest post in the history of ever! I realize that the outer corner of my eye makeup doesn't look blended but I swear it is, the shimmer was having a field day with the sun from my window :)

As always, questions, suggestions, comments and opinions are very welcome! Have a lovely day, y'all!

You look amazing! And great in-depth review...how long did it take you to write that out lol?
That lipstick color is so pretty, I've never tried anything from Bite. I want to check them out while I'm at Sephora today. I also really wanted the Interstellar palette, but I felt like three of the shades look very similar to three in my Monarch palette, I can't remember their names. -.- How do you like the Nars concealer? It's on my Christmas list haha, or I might pick it up later.

Oh! And by the way, I know I'm straying from the topic, but did you ever get the UD shadow box? I know we discussed whether or not we'd get it when they were doing their 20% off.

Everything looks so flawless! I am loving the two most recent looks you have posted.

what coverage would you say the foundation provides? I read the whole thing but I don't believe you listed it unless I missed it.

I might have started writing it at around 11, then I wrote it while I was eating lunch and then double checked it and posted it =) I have kind of a lot that I was trying to do at the same time.

I love Bite and I think you definitely should check them out, Restina and Musk are really great neutrals, and the Matte Lip Creme in Fraise is amazingly pretty!

I don't think they're actually that similar, I have both and I think they're different enough in tone that it might be worth looking at the Innerstellar while you're in the store (they definitely have it!).

I love the Nars concealer, it's really nice and creamy, and I think it looks great under my eyes and blends out beautifully. I definitely think it's worth it, you should definitely check it out!

I did end up getting the Shadow Box! It's so pretty, I'm addicted to the brighter colors I think they're amazing. It's just such a small amount of product I wouldn't be surprised if I ran out really quickly.

Oh shoot, sorry Renay, it's definitely full coverage but it's super light so you really don't need much at all =) Thanks.

Wow awesome! may have to give it a try.

I hope you like it, if you end up trying it! =)

I'll make sure I'll check them all out. I wrote down the names of the colors from Bite, so we're good. :p
Yeah, maybe if I see the two palettes side by side in store, I'll get a better idea. it's hard telling online. I'm so glad you like the concealer! Does it crease? Do you set it with anything? I feel like no matter what I put under my eyes, it eventually creases. Meh. Hopefully Chantilly will be light enough lol.

Did you? Yay! I picked one up too haha. The colors really are awesome. You're right, I try not to use it too often, just because of how small they are! I may be crazy, but I think they look even better when you use a sponge applicator, rather than a brush. :p

Smarika R.

I'm in love with the interstellar (& what you did with it! your whole look is flawless really (: ) do you mind swatching it??

Dec 13, 2014

Hannah K.

Alli, you really can't go wrong with anything Bite, don't worry! =)

I know, it's always better to see things in person just to make sure, so I hope you get a chance to check it out!

The Nars Concealer...it doesn't crease much, for me. I like to use it under my eyes and on blemishes, and it's pretty great. I usually set it with Too Faced Primed and Poreless Powder if I remember to do so =)

Hmmm, I've never tried the Shadow Box with a sponge, what difference does it make that you've noticed? Is it like applying wet? Which is your favorite shade?

Dec 13, 2014

Hannah K.

Sure I can swatch it in just a bit Smarika, I'm a little busy right now but definitely will do so for you =)

Dec 13, 2014

Alli P.

Yeah, I'd say it compares most to applying it wet. I don't know, I feel like my brushes make me have to work more to get the product on, but that also could be my brushes. The sponge just plops it all on there, super pigmented, and I'm good to go lol. Oooh, that's a tough one. I think Indo would probably have to come in first. I have this one go to look with it that I am obsessed with. What about you? :)

Erika W.

Love the eyes!

Dec 13, 2014

Hannah K.

Well what brushes do you have, Alli? That definitely makes a difference =) I'll have to try a sponge and see how it works for me! I think my favorite is a dead toss up between Moonshadow and Flash, I'm apparently very into blues and purples lately!

Thanks Erika =)

Alli P.

Ugh, I do love Moonshadow too! Well, you see, I splurge on face brushes, not eye brushes lol. So I have some Coastal Scents ones, some elf, and a poo ton of bareMinerals ones because of my discount and gratis. But that's why I thought it was strange, because they usually perform extremely well with most of my palettes.

Dec 13, 2014

Hannah K.

Ooh, I see, I HATED the Coastal Scents brushes...sorry! They just felt scratchy and kinda weird... =/ Personally I like the Sephora brand brushes I find that they work incredibly well with every palette I own. I'm asking for new brushes for Chanukah, though, so we'll see how that goes!

Ahhh you look amazing! I love those shadows, violet is my favorite

Do you think you'll be wearing fave makeup more now since you like the RCMA? Even though that one particularly isn't really an everyday product.

Dec 13, 2014

Alli P.

You're not hurting my feelings, trust me lol. I could see where you're coming from. I really only use one, great for blending. Do you recommend any specific ones from the Sephora collection?

Hannah K.

Lauren, I think that I'll probably still keep face makeup for special occasions, rather than wearing it every day. I do think it looks nice, but it's definitely not a necessity for me at this point =)

Alli, I like and have multiple of each of these:

Awesome! Thank you for the suggestions! I'm slowly racking up quite a shopping list for today lol. But really, still try it with the little sponge lol. I never used them until I bought the shadow box.

Dec 13, 2014

Hannah K.

I definitely will try them and see how I feel, Alli! And trust me, my Sephora shopping list is the list that never ends, ever.

Oh geez, tell me about it. I'm nervous to get anything, because my boyfriend put me on a no buy until after christmas, so that I don't buy something he already got me. :p I already broke it.b.
