When you color strip your hair at home, it's best to fade the color before stripping. If you're dying your hair brown, you don't need to bleach your hair.. I would try color stripping it again, sometimes you have to do it multiple times for the color to actually come out. It says that on the box I?believe.

Btw, one of these posts will probably get deleted because reposts aren't allowed.

You probably fried your hair. most likely it is beyond repair and is not taking color because it's to porous and color is slipping out. do not strip it again. do some proteine treatments and go to a salon to have your hair professionally colored. they can use a semi permanent color and fill your hair so the color holds. be gentle to your hair! it's not meant to be beat on :-)

Joico makes a really great protein treatment just use their moisturizing treatment (or really any moisture treatment) afterward.

You can only strip unnatural colors to a certain degree. They are vegetable dyes that don't come out with bleach or color strippers. Your hair is extremely damaged right now and the cuticle has basically been blasted open. You need to see a professional and try to seal the cuticle with a protein filler before adding any color. You will probably need to chop off a lot of the damage.

Do NOT touch your hair with bleach or any color remover or stripper. your hair is severely over processed that's why color is not taking, the cuticle is blown open which is causing color to "fall" out. See a professional

You need to put protein back into your hair.Don't use permanent hair color since these lift up color instead I recommend to use a semi-permanent hair dye that would deposit color. I also recomend to use protein fillers, you can find them at sally's beauty supply.
