Bleach and dyeing hair in the same day.

So I bought Splat blue envy, and Revlon black hair dye. I was wondering if I only bleach the top of my hair, is it safe dye the rest of it black all in the same day? I have family pictures and I really need my hair done by tomorrow. Please any help will be appreciated.

Why you are bleaching your hair to dye is black? Just dye it black.. you don't need to bleach it. If you've dyed it previously, strip the color first.

I'm bleaching only the top half, to get rid of the roots and be able to put blue streaks, the black will go on the bottom half of my hair.

Pretty much, I bought the blue on a whim, so I'm still undecided on actually doing streaks, but I'm definitely doing the blonde and black

Oh okay.. then yea, you need to bleach your roots. But if you wanted to bleach your entire head and then dye the bottom black like you said, it's possible, but very very very damaging. Then just do the streaks.

Be careful when rinsing out the black that it doesn't bleed into the parts you bleach, or you'll have greyish dishwater hair.
