So, first of all, I hardly know how to paint my nails lol. When I do, I use either black or red. I'm the worst at it...so, apparently I know nothing about good nail polish brands and such. Lol..

However, I got this 50 PC nail polish set for Christmas, brand being KleanColor, and gosh it came with so many amazing colors; including one I've been wanting, a matte black. There's tons of different colors, finished, and even scented nail polishes..Clearly, I don't want them just sitting there whilst I drool over them, so of course I'll start painting my nails more, albeit my terrible skills.

So how is this brand? Long lasting? Good, bad, eh? I do know that they're pretty pigmented as I swatched some on their boxes..but what are your overall thoughts, if you've worked with this brand?

I don't mean to be snappy here but since you already have the polishes you could just try them out and see how you like them

Yes, I know that, but I'm particularly looking if they're long lasting. I usually pick at my nails, as a habit, so I'm asking for people's tips and experiences with it. Lol.

She obviously wants to know other people's experiences.

For me I find a good top coat and base coat makes more of a difference then the actual nail polish color.

Thanks Shanae, lol.

Chelsy, awesome, thank you! I never use a base or top coat...lol. Any good ones you can recommend?

I haven't used them personally but if I'm correct I have seen them at my dollar general for $1 each so that's awesome for a 50 PC set the reason I have never tried them is because I have used LA colors nail polish and they just peeled right off as soon as they dried so I was weary to purchase these because I saw them In the same bin as LA colors. I would just paint my nails to try it out to see how they are my expirence shouldn't stop you because I'm not even sure if LA colors are even related to klean color lol so I'm sorry if I confused you or anything lol.

Hmm while I don't have experience with Klean Color I can also vouch that the base/top coat make a difference :) my personal favorite combo is the Seche Clear base coat and the Cult Nails Wicked Fast top coat. Sorry this doesn't really help with your actual question.

I like Revolons base and top coat... If you don't wanna buy them separate then you can get the one that is used for both base and top.

I think your best bet is to just jump into your set and go nuts! I'd do a different color on each nail including toes haha.

I don't have experience either but I like the dally hansen base and top coats.

I agree with hannah and chelsy. I have a lot of nail polishes in many different qualities but they all last at least 5 days without chips as long as I use a decent top and base coat. A weird tip too, but if you bite your nails don't do this lol, but when you finish your color coats, after its dry put an acrylic sealer on it (1$ at the dollar store) and then put your top coat on. It's silly and weird but it makes my nail colors last at least a week, and higher end polishes (formula x is my favorite for long lasting) last almost two weeks.

Yeah I bite my nails SO, I don't know about that. Thanks anyways guys, I'll check out those base coats/top coats ;)

I love Seche Vite top coat. I have yet to find anything I like better. I'm not as picky with my base coats. I've like Essie and Seche base coats.

I second Seche Vite top coat. Cult Nails Wicked Fast is great, but Seche is much cheaper. I swear by Zoya's Anchor base coat. With that and Seche Vite I'm getting at least 5 days out of polish.

I don't think I've used this brand in particular, although I do find that with all my polishes a base coat always makes them last longer and stay chip free longer. Seche Vite is good.

I've used this brand, it does chip easily. But not so much when I use a good base and top coat. For those (and a good strengthener too) I love the American Classics brand at Sallys beauty supply. They have a growth one, and a strengthing, top and base coat. All of them are worth the money :)

I've had a few of these nail polishes and honestly they chipped a lot on me. But, at the time I didn't have a good top coat so that's probably why. So, I guarantee if you use a good topcoat, you'll be good:) and I second the Seche Vite topcoat!! It's also a quick dry topcoat too.

Has anyone tried the "out the door" topcoat?? I hear it's extremely comparable to seche vite (without drying halfway through the bottle issue) at half the price but I can't seem to find it anywhere 😔

@Maggie. I've tried out the door, and while it was decent, seche vite I found to be better all around

Renay as a try poly junkie I say get the seche vite top coat - it makes basically every polish long lasting!! I haven't tried the band you got, but it sounds like a great gift!
And if you get into polish I suggest you try out Zoya, they are amazing!!

Thanks Jackie!! I may grab a bottle if I ever see it but now I won't feel like I'm missing something buying my next seche vite 😜

Its ok. I like they're colors. I'm not a fan of they're scented ones though. they go on kinda streaky. but other than that its an ok brand. a few hits and misses but us nailpolish junkies could care less right? lol btw that's a nice gift you got. I got nailpolush too but it was by the brand flower.
